If You Haven't Heard About LANY, You Will Soon
If You Haven’t Heard About LANY, You Will Soon
On the 13th of October, I had the chance to assist to the concert of one of, if not, my favourite band of the moment: LANY.
LANY is a Californian Pop band that has a unique sound which I believe is the reason why they attract such a strong fan base. I have been listening to LANY for more than a year now. I cannot remember how I have come to discover them but since I did, I only listened to them…

Outfit Idea / The End of Summer in Paris
I have come up with the perfect outfit idea for this end of summer. Possible to wear at the festival or simply for a day out. The leather skirt and fur jacket don't disappoint!
Hey guys!
So I’m back, finding a bit of time in a hectic week but lucky me I’ve gotten sick on the week-end so I’m home doing nothing. I’ve taken advantage of my free time to post a look that I have shot with a friend last week (it feels like a month ago because I’ve been getting myself pretty busy during the past week!). It was quite difficult to come with an outfit that was as good for summer…

ON OUR WAY TO MALLORCA/ Mallorca Holidays #2
My #2 blog on our trip to Mallorca is out! Adela has set off to Canada and it is in all nostalgia but happiness that I go back to this day that we took the plane together.

Adela, one of my best friend, has definitely left Paris yesterday and is off to new adventures in Montréal, Canada. I’m so proud of her for the courage she is having and how she is already facing head high a bunch of obstacles. I only wish her the best experience on the other side of the world. I have no doubt that she will live an unforgettable journey and will meet beautiful souls for the…

Hello everyone!
During this weekend I have taken my Saturday off, to doing anything or meeting anyone, to have a bit of time with myself, chilling and strolling around Paris.
While I was walking around the cute neighborhood of Le Marais I discovered an accessory shop with beautiful pieces. I couldn’t resist and bought one! So I want to share with you this discovery among many others!
Firstly the most important thing of all, FOOD! Where to get a cheese made by local farmers with ethical values to production, tasting amazing (even for whom are not experts, like me) and offering affordable prices!: Laurent Dubois, 97-99 rue Saint Antoine, offers such a wide range of cheeses that I still don’t know what half of the store was offering. The shop is cute, tiny and cosy. The sellers are helpful and non-judgemental when you tell them you “know nothing about cheese” and ask to define every term to define cheese used. However, Warning! Not being able to communicate in French may become an obstacle depending on which seller you talk to, but if you are lucky you might come across a translator like me! So what did I get? I had to admit not being a fan of very strong cheese and I got recommended to go with a creamy cow cheese, to which, yes, I don’t remember the name haha. And what about the price you were wondering? 4 euros the whole piece of cheese!
Le Marais is packed with Vintage stores but not only, independent and jewelry stores owners are waiting for you to come in. So if you walk around the neighborhood you could not resist but to make a purchase! I have the perfect little store, own by a woman crafting herself all of the jewelries with Swarovski crystals: Magnolia, 129 rue vieille du temple. On this occasion of sales she is selling her jewelries for half-price but as she hasn’t made it obvious on the shop’s window, there a lot of amazing choices. I was first attracted by the shapes and colors of the crystals. I finally went for such a beautiful pair of earrings and at a very very reasonable price; 22 euros!
Their blue reminded me of the ocean, their roundish shape I found was subtle and their size was simply perfect, being discreet but not too much at the same time. I highly recommend you going to take a look at that store as the pieces are beautiful with I believe an ocean vibe.
I am not sponsored by any of those shops but I strongly believe that it is important to contribute in the development of such shops: valuing an ethical production. Plus you will find yourself with quality products that will last for years, have a meaning or simply be beneficial for your health in the case of food!
So yes, you can definitely find quality products, made with respect towards the taste and the environment. Having control over where your money is going into the system is something that I discover to be important a bit more everyday. By taking the time to shop in local and ethical stores you contribute to helping the planet. Whether it is in terms of food, clothes, etc. The simple fact of buying something affects people around the world, the environment and indirectly yourself. I will talk more about fair trade and ethical production in another article or video, but if you want to know more about the subject I recommend watching those two documentaries:
“The True Cost” denounces the horrible consequences of our buying habits towards big and unethical clothing companies like H&M, Forever 21, Zara, and many others. After having watching this documentary you will think twice about where you buy your clothes and I hope will change your purchase habits! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaGp5_Sfbss
“Dukale’s Dream” tells the origins of the coffee sold by Hugh Jackman’s company, yes you read it right, and the scale of the advantages that local population benefit from fair trade. This film basically shows you that additionally to contributing to NGOs, you can really help people by choosing to consume fair trade products. In other words you are providing local populations with the tools to become financially independent. But wait let’s start somewhere; What does fair trade means? And this is a question that Hugh Jackman enthusiastically answers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhgZM8dzBaA
I know that it can be scary and overwhelming to watch such documentaries but you have to do a leap of faith. They are eye opening and they lead to you making changes that could have a real impact on the world!
My new article is out: Local and Fair Trade Stores in Paris: Le Marais. I have discovered lovely places that I hope you will enjoy as well. Even if you don't live in Paris you can get inspired and watch the recommended documentaries. Hello everyone! During this weekend I have taken my Saturday off, to doing anything or meeting anyone, to have a bit of time with myself, chilling and strolling around Paris.

A Night Among Many Others to Remember
Tonight I feel inspired by the love that girl travelers give to each other, to the love and kindness found in opening your mind and following new adventures: My new blog post is out and describes A Night Among Many Others to Remember.
Here I am, it’s 1 am, laying on my bed and thinking about the beautiful evening I’ve had. “Beautiful” qualifying the people I met that day. I am lucky enough to have met world travelers. Those girls are inspiring by the values they represent, their consideration towards the other and their open-mind.

Jonata is the prettiest girl I have met: she shines because of her kindness. A fun fact that can…

It is my third sunday in Paris and I have gotten use to make that a day a special day in discovering new activities. Today’s activity was found randomly as it was proposed to me when I went to buy a plant, which by the way is a beautiful tropical plant. Many others caught my eyes at the BHV Paris Le Marais.
So here I am, it is warm outside and all I want to do is to go for a swim! But I forgot that I have finished all my contact lenses and cannot go for a dip. So what to do? I surely want to do an activity to learn how to do new things. I have been watching quite a few Marzia Youtube videos, and she inspired me to invest in taking care of plants.
Making a Terrarium is such a peaceful activity in the sense that you use your hands for something else than typing on your computer or on your phone, you feel the earth, you take care of living things and if you let it in you care for those plants as well.
The flat I currently live in has 6 plants, and a bought a new one! When I moved in I barely paid attention to them, even forgetting to water them (I know it’s bad), but now I’ve gotten so attached to them that I have to think twice before watering them in the fear of drowning them. My point is that I’ve realised how beneficial, how necessary having plants around you are. Being able to colive with plants feels as it should always be the case. We are made to coexist with living spcies, whether they are plants or animals.

I almost did not make it to the workshop; I was still at home having lunch when the workshop started. At the last minute I decide to make my way to the shop, my cactus and my Terrarium in my bag, playing for broke, seeing if they would still let me join.
The space is open to a Parisian street and full of plants. The professor and the two clients are regrouped on a tiny wooden table in which are gathered silver, blue, purple rocks and earth. In times I tend to forget that I was in the city centre of Paris since I felt peaceful working on my Terrarium.
The Terrarium is made out of different of layers of volcanic rocks, decorative colourful rocks, earth and then a layer of rocks and pebbles for a final decorative layer.
This activity made me feel really good, in sync with nature and I can’t wait to explore new activities in Paris!
Thank you for ready and hopefully see you soon.
