𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡. minthara knew fallible leaders before, often they let their desires and fears consume them before ever making an impact on their people. when his gaze reaches her she solemnly returns it. she watched at the moment that he seemed to become undone—𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟, 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬. she would address it when he finished. after the speech, she watched once sunk shoulders proudly raised, there was no doubt amongst them. it was a leader’s duty to bring courage to his army. she watched him as he made way to her. she turned on her heel as he passed her to walk at his side. 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬, no one questioned what they were, they knew better to pry. his words address his awkwardness, she hummed in response, 𝐛𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐞.
❛ that speech. ❜ she began, ❛ it was not for me, now... was it? ❜ she said in a reminding way, 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦. ❛ i am not without strength, nor do i harbor doubt inside of me. ❜ she halted her steps, and noticed how he followed suit and turned to her, ❛ everything you do moves me, 𝐢 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 that my being here is proof of my belief in you. ❜ she took a step to him, wary of the distance that began to close. he held darkness in his palm, yet she felt the heat of his body as though fire had claimed him, ❛ when my loyalty falters, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐥’𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐥❜
he stood tall, proud, as he spoke strongly to his grisha, encouraging them for the battle ahead, mistakenly he glances her way - the way she gazed at him would have made any other man feel small, though he could sense admiration, albeit, a small amount, he held onto that small amount. he shifted his position, awkwardly cleared his throat and gave her a nod. as the inspiring speech came to an end, he stepped down from his higher ground and made his was towards her. ❛ i see my speech did not move you… ❜ a slight smirk pulling at his mouth as he found himself walking next to her. @felldrow

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞. whatever mood had struck him at the moment made him speak unlike himself. 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭—𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. and to request to be held like a fragile fruit of all things.
❛ you should know that i do not care for theatrics, 𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐨 𝐢 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. ❜ she expected these sort of outbursts from some of their other companions, she believed the druid to lack the spontaneity 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, ❛ and if i were to hold you like delicate pome then you would see yourself burst like ripe fruit does when crushed in a palm. ❜

"What was I when you first knew me? Before you ever knew me? A mad woman butchering prey in the name of a god who would discard me without a thought once I was no longer of use. Bhaal, Lolth, the Absolute; they do not have followers, they only have victims, and they reward devotion with death."
#i think this is the speech that really really made me adore her character...#it hurts so much#tbt.#study.

𝐈. be a decent human being. we are all writers just trying to enjoy some time away from the stress of reality. this is the least you can do.
𝐈𝐈. i do not do follow for follow all the time. i apologize if this offends some people. i want to keep my space as safe as i can for myself. that being said, i am more likely to follow back if you make an attempt to speak to me.
𝐈𝐈𝐈. i do not practice exclusivity with people i hardly know. however, i am much more open to mains. and when i take on mains, it will only ever be limited to three of a character. that being said, when i am writing with a certain character i do not seek out others writing that character. i also will always be respectful to my writing partner.
𝐈𝐕. i admit that i love writing ships and shippy things. however, i do not ship easily unless we are friends. also, our muses must have chemistry. sometimes that is only discoverable after writing back and forth a few times.
𝐕. everything that i create here is mine unless i have stated otherwise. please do not copy or steal anything from this blog.
