I’m still on my journey to accepting and loving my body, but as it’s Pride month I wanted to take a bigger step towards that goal, so here is a selfie showing a little bit more of me than usual:

Unpopular opinion, buy I really think Victor's parents should not accept him being gay in the first half of season 2. Even tho Victor is a cinnamon roll and deserves all the happiness in the world, during season 1 we saw his parents being homophobic. It was subtle but it was there. It just wouldn't be so realistic for them to just accept him like that, and be proud. This would have to be a journey for both parties: Victor and his parents. At first, I believe they would react like it's just a phase, and he is confused. They will try to convince him that he is straight, and they will tell him about how he loves Mia. However, with time they will finally come to terms with the fact that he is gay, and by the end of season 2 they will show him that they love him no matter what, and that his happiness means the world to them.
Also, this will portray a real struggle that many lgbtq+ kids face. Many of them have homophobic parents that don't accept them, and when/if they come out they will actively show that they think that there is something wrong with them. However, doing this, they can tell every kid out there that things really do get better. Your family might come in terms with it, or you can find a new family that will love you.
This will additionally show that Victor's and Simon's stories are different, and there is no one way to be gay and to come out. Everyone's story is different, but that doesn't mean it isn't just as beautiful.
