In my heart, I headcannon that Doctor Who is also a tv show in 2012 TMNT and when Donnie discovers it….he basically binges all of it. He specifically loves the 10th Doctor’s episodes.

It becomes his own comfort show and whenever he’s not sleeping well or he’s too overwhelmed he puts on an episode with the tenth doctor and just relaxes.

He doesn’t know why it puts him at ease…. It just does.
