I’ve been making dad jokes for years but my wife and I are expecting our first child and I’ve finally been making dad jokes while actually being a dad.

When we were in the hospital I got my wife a blanket. What was awesome was they were kept in this machine that was specifically made to heat blankets. I laid the blanket over my wife and said, “do you think they keep these at womb temperature?” I heard a nurse laugh for a solid 3 minutes.

look. i don’t think my stretch marks are beautiful. i don’t think they’re tiger stripes or natural tattooos. i don’t think my acne is beautiful. i don’t think the bags under my eyes are beautiful. i just think they’re human. and i don’t think i have to be beautiful all of the time in order to be accepted and loved and sucessful. i don’t think every small detail of my outer appearence needs to be translated into prettiness.

Being called ugly and fat when you’re younger really affects you later in life. Anytime someone tells you you’re attractive your heart drops waiting for them to say they were just joking or following it up with a hurtful comment.
