IN-DEPTH ● FEMINISM (part one)
Feminism is a theory that focuses on gender as a platform for women to demand equality, right and justice. One wrong idea that people have been getting is how feminism only supports one gender, however, that is not true at all -- feminism is for all gender. It is not for one gender to be superior to another.
Feminists do not hate men, they just want equality for all genders.
Some more facts:
Feminists come from a variety of backgrounds, with a variety of values and opinions and sexual preferences.
Feminist want to spread awareness about Male Privileges. Male Privileges are advantages that men have in our society just because of being men.
Feminsts fight for a Consent-Culture. A Consent-Culture is a culture in which sexual actions are only acceptable with mutual agreement.
There are four main types of feminist theory that attempt to explain the differences between men and women
Gender Differences: The gender difference perspective examines how women's experience of social situations differ from men's.
Gender Inequality: Gender-inequality theories recognize that women's location in social situations is not only different but also unequal to men's.
Gender Oppression: Theories of gender oppression go further than theories of gender difference and gender inequality by arguing that not only are women different from or unequal to men, but that they are actively oppressed, subordinated, and even abused by men
Structural Oppression: Structural oppression theories posit that women's oppression and inequality are a result of capitalism, patriarchy, and racism.

WHAT IS FEMINISM?
Merriam-Webster defines feminism as, “the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities” and as “the theory of the political, economic and social equality of the sexes.” It does not mean women should receive special treatment or men should be put down in order for women to rise above.
In our society, people have been receiving the wrong meaning of ‘feminism’, thinking that feminists are a group of people that burn bras and look down on men while screaming and asking for the female gender to be superior to men. However, that is not the case. Feminism merely means equality between genders. It’s a hard pill for some people to swallow since we have been living in a patriarchal society for as long as we could remember, but we will try our best to bring awareness to this movement to the people that do not know much about the subject of feminism yet. Please support this blog as we do our best to spread love among females for themselves and for other females!
We’ll be posting things every now and then about the problems females have to face within the society and whatnot, as well as encouraging messages towards females -- even then, not only females can be feminists. Men as well! Let’s come together and ask for the fundamental rights we deserve.
