im at disbelief at the fact that a lot of folks are simply over palestine. like protests are dwindling down. people are not very interested in news related to gaza. some are simply over it.

israel hasn't let aid in gaza in 70 days. gaza has been starving for 70 days. the condition of people there is horrendous.

i find it distressing to think about children in gaza. how does one continue to have a childhood in a genocide? they don't have school. they don't have safety. they don't have food.

despite all this, the kids will be alright. they'll be alright once the genocide stops and they get back to 'normal'. till then, can we please try to support them however we can?

Pursuing social work in something like community college in my own country has made me greatly suicidal, since I thought I would meet people who aren't racist, queerphobes, sexists, ableists, and pro corporate greed there. I was so wrong, and the thought that there are so many horrible people in the position of the helping profession (WHO PEOPLE TURN TO WHEN THEY ARE DISTRESSED!!!!) It makes me feel so angry and sad and lonely that I'm the only one in my class constantly calling out bullshit like that, even though professors usually side with me. But even then, there are professors who deem depression not real and I dunno, I feel like a heretic in my motherland.

I'm still a student but, I feel like Im way to burnt out now to even care. I still do but, studying just doesn't give me the same spark of hope anymore
