Still effectively a dead blog.
I miss (my memories of) WoW, I miss worgen, I miss WoW RP, I miss my characters, etc.
I still have absolutely zero plans to come back to it ever.
Yeah.

GW2-Only Blog
Alright.
My new GW2-only blog is...
ash-trash!
Go take a look! Or don’t. Any original content posted there will be reblogged to here, so you won’t miss anything!

I know that this blog is my general-purpose RP blog, and it will remain as such, but I’m also creating a more devoted, GW2-only blog that I’ll use for GW2 stuff. Anything on that blog will also be reblogged to here, so don’t feel like you have to follow there as well.
More details will follow once I have it set up. I already have the account and the URL, just need to get it polished and outfitted.

Heck yeah, Chill Warband!
Thanks so much you guys, this looks absolutely delicious! I’m looking forward to making up a batch for myself, and I’m sure Alcmene will enjoy it as well!
We had a great time at the Chat & Chew, and this is a wonderful dish to suit our ‘band! You’ve outdone yourselves again! Woo!

Woo! It’s been a blast so far in my short time with [AUX], and I think this definitely captures the spirit of the guild. It was a great time at the Chat n’ Chew, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else comes out of it!

There have been some minor updates and fixes to information here and there. The character page has been updated to reflect the addition of my GW2 ranger to the roster - more will be forthcoming as I purchase new character slots. In addition, pictures have been added of all GW2 characters - I apologize for the poor quality, but given that outfits are going to change a lot as they level and get better gear, I didn’t want to put a lot of effort into making something grandiose.
I’ve been pretty busy with work and school, and dealing with a slump, so no writing (or motivation) recently. I apologize, but I’ll try and get some stuff out over spring break. We’ll see how things go, I might end up just working over the whole vacation, haha.

Hey, if I remember, I'll try to get a semi-accurate pic of Kyr and Rakk up today. Granted, they're still levelling so their appearance may change as I find new armor I like better, but it will at least give a baseline visual. So y'all will have that to look forward to. Got my engineer to 80, so now I can push her off to the side and never play her again and instead focus my efforts on Kyr. So hopefully she'll get some development in the upcoming days!

Screenshot to Prose Exercise: Gladium Canton
Tumblr media
Dusk’s gloaming came suddenly into the Black Citadel’s belly to shroud those gladium and travelers caught within. Another evening to stalk the choking alleys and metallic platforms, while the rumble of everyday desperation and falling water covered his footsteps.
An elementalist emerged from the lower levels, up the sodden plank ramp, and meandered towards the liquor supplier with a lurching gait. His neighbors, the ragged refuse that eked out something like a life down here, gave him a wide berth. Scraggly cubs, however, darted forward, paused and dashed off again perhaps for little more reason than to play chicken against the blind charr. Filthy wraps covered his eyes, and where he could not manipulate the elements enough to guide himself, a knobby staff tapped along the path in rapid staccato. Ting, ting, tang, ting, ting, tang.
Gash Firecog did not sleep in the barracks of the Town of Nolan, and he did not attend official missions. Instead, he made a nest in the dankness of the gladium canton, watching and listening. Officially, a lazy lieutenant who was sequestered for the legionnaire’s sanity — unofficially, her ear to the ground.  The clatter of tin pots, popping cook fires and ragged calls relayed the dinner hour. Ever present, damp mist rose and clung to the air, entwining with blue smoke from beneath distracted dwellers’ stew pots. Gash flicked the end of the staff and forced the groping mist to billow away, scattering like frightened mice.  So familiar with this path, he knew Urvan would be eyeing him with his roving stare, only fourteen more steps; mind the planks.
"Gash, my friend, you must be thirsty," the trader snarled, a begrudged greeting. "I’ve got a lot of options for you tonight. Thought I’d have to put more in a third bottle." "Give me what you’ve got, Urvan, time’s short," Gash replied, feigning disinterest, but the brisk rotations of his ears betrayed him. The pair made their exchange, coins for two bottles made of opaque green glass; a casual gesture that may not have happened.  "Neen went to the waterworks, he’s got chow," muttered Urvan, shifting his weight. Moving towards the center of the canton without so much as a thank you, Gash used his snout this time to track down his most prized hunter. Neen the Silent, a sickly black runt, was positively ordinary in every other way except for his greatest gift. He would be hard to notice by himself, an accessory to the landscape, but in a crowd the cub was invisible. Yet, there he sat upon the lip of the water works, fur flecked with droplets and whiskers twitching as his tongue darted in and out to catch the downpour.
"My eyes, it’s time to work, come on," Gash barked, one of the bottles being presented. "Yes, sir," the whelp quipped, snatching it away and already gnawing the cork. "Where’s dinner, Neen?" "Oh, I ate it already!" came the cheerful reply. "Feh…" The cub shook the bottle, and it made a raspy noise as if many folded bits of paper were crammed to the narrow lip.  "Wow, so many tonight! Glad I ate," Neen hummed thoughtfully, bounding down the ramp to Gash’s hideaway. For his part, the elementalist only exhaled and followed dutifully, lighting the candles on the way down with a snap of his fingers.

Just quick notes from an RP a few days ago, before I forget.
Rakk is somewhat naive to the process of things outside the Fahrar - he doesn't understand politics and higher order, and simply expects that the worst he'll receive is a beatdown (which he can handle) once he crosses a boundary.
Rakk has experience in field surgery, mostly because he roams on his own so much and needs to patch himself up.
TMI: Sexually, Rakk likes being in control and tends to be rather dominant (and a little abusive at times), but given his "petite" frame, this almost never comes to fruition and he's usually stuck as a power-bottom at best.
Rakk is very selfish and careless and doesn't really understand the concept of empathy.
Rakk believes that, if there's no lasting or permanent damage, it's harmless - he can push someone to the brink of death, and as long as they'll (eventually) fully recover, he views it as completely harmless and acceptable to do without rhyme or reason.
He also has absolutely no value for Gladiums, and actually views them as negative (they're a drain on supplies with no benefit).
Just some notes, and not very detailed because I'm a bit rushed at the moment. I'll try and flesh these out  later, I just needed to get something down before I forget his development.

Hey, I was wondering if I could ask a favor from you guys, the wonderful patrons of my tiny little blog.
Could you, if you ever read anything I wrote, or RPed with me before, or talked with me about characters, anything like that - please, drop me an ask, or an email (here), or fanmail, or something, with a valid, honest critique. You can be nice and flowery and tell me what I'm doing well, or harsh and blunt and tell me where I'm sucking - at this point, I'd just like some feedback, anything.
If you've never been subject to my RP or writings or whatever, but you still want to help, feel free to browse through some my posts, or just drop me a line directly and we can chat a bit and I'm sure your outside opinion will be very helpful to me!
TL;DR please give me some feedback.

Sort of! As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm getting away from that sort of thing, but I have a feeling that these characters will haunt me for many months (or years) to come, so if WoW's your thing, feel free to ask questions and yak with me about it. :>
Reblog if you're a World of Warcraft Roleplay blog
OCs, canon, headcanon, or are friendly and want to talk about it.

I just wanted to reiterate, since there seems to be some confusion on it:
Yes, the title and decoration of this blog is Warcraft related. Yes, my original focus was Warcraft and my characters therein. However, I no longer play WoW, and have other interests, and this blog is (and always has been!) a purely general-RP blog for me to put all that stuff on.
I'm getting into GW2. I have a lot of Werewolf stuff in my head after the con. I don't play WoW anymore and anyone I was in contact with about it has pretty much dropped me like a bad habit. As a result, there's going to be next-to-none WoW stuff, and a lot more GW2 and (hopefully) Werewolf stuff.
It's my RP blog. Whatever that entails. Not just a WoW blog. Things change, people change, and this blog has grown from what it originally was into an opportunity for me to just compile and talk about my characters (mostly for my benefit and usage, though I appreciate any readers I get, and any comments or questions they may have).
So, uh, whoever the anon is, I hope this answers your question. I suppose I could have just answered it directly, but I didn't necessarily want to publish such an... acerbic ask. It's my RP blog, not just for WoW. For RP. Whatever form that takes. If I get struck by lightning and as a result of it, go on a spree where I RP Ewok-x-JarJar smut, this is the blog for it. It's my RP blog. It just happens to be stylized after WoW, because that's what started all this.
I uh, hope that clears things up.

The good news: Rakk is effectively ready to go for RP (I even gave him a spiffy new outfit), once I finish a few key components of his backstory (which mostly require answers to the key questions: what the fuck is magic and how does it work, why is he away from his warband). Kyr is also effectively ready (backstory complete, though I dislike her outfit and need to find some motivation for her to not just waste away in the Gladium Canton all day).
The bad news:
I had a bit of a breakdown last night and am now being crippled with severe doubts and anxieties over my ability to even go through with this. I'd been hesitant and leery but I felt confident that once I got my courage up, I'd be alright and just dive right in.
Now, I'm having serious doubts - fortunately, I avoided doing something rash (though I was sorely tempted) like deleting my characters or quitting the guilds or what-have-you, but things aren't the same now. Everything's uneasy and uncomfortable and these nervous panics that I had for a while (which I thought GW2, or just the presence of an MMO again, had quieted) are coming back.
I'm worried that I'm not mentally or emotionally stable enough to engage in this sort of social commitment, and... that's upsetting.
TL;DR, characters are ready to RP, but I'm not.
