Does it matter if one part of the group is more oppressed? Does it? Really?

If it matters to you that you are more oppressed, if it matter to you that you have it 'worse' by this metric, if it matters to you so much that you are willing to deny other people's oppresion

then you are not being nice. you are not being good or kind. you're not putting "misogynists in their places". you are hurting a vulnerable group of people, you are hurting part of your own community!

furthermore! i'd like to point out a difference in trans men and women(disclaimer, this is my own personal experience, and is conjecture and theoretical thinking from this point on. this is a tangent, independent from the rest of the post):

trans men, we generally make ourselves smaller and less noticeable. we often act very passive, with little to no aggression. i think this stems from being socialized the same way cis women are socialized: to be small and unobtrusive, to swallow our teeth and not make waves at the expense of our own comfort and safety

trans women are more often open and proud of who they are, WHICH IS GOOD! but it also makes them targets for murders. if you're loud and proud and unapologetic (AS YOU SHOULD BE) then you become a symbol. a face, if you will, for the community. and so THAT is what ppl want to attack in big shows like murders. it's a message

so it would make sense the acts against us would reflect that. trans men are shoved under the rug and hurt in traumatizing but nonfatal ways, hurt into behaving

trans women could be harder to force to behave like that, but more likely it's just harder to explain their behavior away, so their killed

neither of these is a "better" fate

some of yall cant seem to wrap ur fucking heads around the fact that violence doesnt begin and end at who is killed more

violence is also domestic abuse

violence is also conversion therapy

violence is also sexual assault

violence is also bullying and harassment so bad that it makes you want to kill yourself to get away from it all

everyone in the trans community deals with all these different forms of violence in one way or another and trans men/mascs have been reported as having the highest rates of depression and suicide and of having experiences sexual assault

the violence that trans men/mascs experience is also worth acknowledging and addressing, just like the violence that trans women/fems face is worth acknowledging

but to claim that any one group of trans people is "more" or "less" oppressed just based off of the statistics of only one type of violence experienced by the trans community is straight up oppression olympics and needs to fucking stop

we need to come together to acknowledge the violence that ALL trans, nonbinary, and intersex people face and combat it TOGETHER

The idea of something being classy and fancy is such bullshit. Consider charcuterie boards. Random cold meats, cheese, crackers, olives and pickles served straight off a cutting board is the kind of goblin dinner I would eat laying in bed in my underwear too hung over to move.
