IS THERE... any older killugon fic where Gon keeps it a secret that he lost his nen from Killua... Killua sensed Gon's aura while they were together before they parted ways at the World Tree so is completely unaware that anything is different

like he knows Killua would worry too much and give up on traveling the world with Alluka and Gon doesn't want to worry him/steal him away from his sister..... Gon's aware how overprotective Killua was when he was nenless from APR after his fight with Knuckle

And it's like def a continuation of Gon's problem of keeping his problems to himself, but it's hard to give up, guilt and shame of what he was like in CA arc are powerful motivators.

and maybe... drama unfolding when they reunite and Gon's still nenless or his nen is drastically different/weaker than before.... mayhap Killua saving him again....?! lol

i'm still sooooo attached to my "gon stays as gon-san" AU.... so much angst.... SO MUCH POTENTIAL.....

gon and killua parting ways on a way tenser note because killua has a such a difficult time looking at gon... gon for the first time in his life feels self-conscious/ashamed of the way he looks, this too big body and too much strength that he is unused to wielding

election arc might not even end exactly the same because idk if gon would show up to the election in person...

but yea gon going back to whale island and just staying there for so long, pretty much isolating himself. it takes so long for him to feel comfortable in his own body

killua having rly conflicting emotions about it too... like he cannot help but find gon-san beautiful while also the sight of him fills him with fear/nausea/anger. he ends up avoiding visiting gon for years, sticking mainly to texts/emails because it's also painful hearing gon's deep voice

but even gon is uncomfortable speaking, it's not HIS voice, that he starts speaking much more quietly/subdued, and is also fine with just sticking to text/emails.

i think killua doesnt see him until he's 18-19, when he's nearly fully grown himself

at that point gon actually looks different. he's lost muscle mass, having lost some of his fervent desire to train as a youth. his hair is slightly long, down to his shoulder blades. tied in a loose braid or ponytail

maybe he's relearned nen, but it's much milder/calmer

maybe can also manipulate his nen in place of his missing arm....

Oh I don’t know if you heard, at some point Togashi revealed he has three different endings planned for HXH, some he thinks people will like, some he thinks they won’t. But if for some reason he can’t finish HXH and write out the ending he wants, the official ending will be a fourth option where Gon goes home to Whale Island, gets married, and then eventually leaves like Ging did. I guess in a time repeats itself kinda way??? Also a little commentary on how some big shonen jump titles ended lol. So yeah I’m not surprised people started shipping Gon with the one girl he knew from whale island since it might be the “default” ending.

Amazing news I just found out! The wonderful Three Lights, a repository for high quality Sailor Moon scans, has HQ scans of the ultra-rare calendar that Naoko Takeuchi and her husband Yoshihiro Togashi (creator of Hunter x Hunter among other series) made in 1999 to commemorate their wedding.

This is such a blessing to both fandoms!
