This is it, you guys!
I took a break from reading Isolation because I thought it would be much better to read it when it's done. (I'm not good in reading WIPs anyway) And today's the day that we've been waiting for!
Let's start reading from the beginning..
I'm pretty sure my quote-posting will be back to biz after this. :)
so i’ve just changed isolation’s status to complete and i’m done
also, to the people asking, there will be an epilogue of sorts but it will be a kinda stand-alone piece that needn’t be read alongside iso
so that was the last chapter and it is finished, but if you wanted more then you could read the epilogue
hope that makes sense

I want you to tell me that you'll still be here tomorrow, that you aren't going to leave, ever, that this isn't all--this isn't all in my fucking head. I want you to love me, unconditionally, even if I have a fucking mark on my arm, even if--even if when it comes down to it, I'm exactly who you've always thought I might be. I want--you. I want you every fucking day, and I want you smiling, laughing, happy no matter what.

I was mad at him for leaving me alone with my thoughts, for allowing me to wonder if he was more than just a bully; I was mad at him for perpetuating that stupidly unbelievable rumor, for letting people think it was true, for kissing me again-a real kiss, a kiss that had left me shaking and speechless.

Lying in Draco's arms, she realized that everything she'd wished for, everything her father told her to look for in a man, was right underneath her. Her father always said to look for a man who knew when to hold her, when to love her, and when to tell her she was being outright ridiculous. Her father told her to look for a man who could laugh with her and hold her when she cried. To look for a man who understood her value, and that it only increased over time. Everything her father told her to find she found while lying in Draco's arms.

Hermione drove Draco to his wits end most days, but out of nowhere, she'd give him a smile that reached her eyes, and the rest of it didn't even seem to matter.

While you're reading this right now, I am proudly marching with the Order knowing that by being in the front row, I'd finally be able to prove my love for you, to achieve my pinky promise on that little girl I've fallen in love with in that garden when I was just a mere boy.

When I... when I look at her all I see is my dream girl. When I look at her, I forget what it's like to be sorted to classes. When I look at her, I forget even my own blood, my own kind or hers. When I- when I look at her, I forget what it's like... to hate a mudblood.

I have very simple wishes before, I didn't need all the things given to me. I just wanted to be with him, to serve him, to comfort him, to support him in everything he does. All I ever wanted was to wake up every day with him on my side; then be with him when the day is done. He was my everything. I had a lot of dreams as well, but he was the very first in everything. He was my home. I was his girl who was living in such a whimsical world when I was with him, not really knowing that the beautiful world he planted for me was never permanent. Because it was never real.

Review: Once Upon A Thyme
Once Upon A Thyme by zensho [★★★★★]
Summary: Draco and Hermione travel back in time and switch stations in life. Both learn tough lessons about family, honour and love.
What can I say, I really love this fic. I love the OOC-ness of the characters; definitely not overdone. I love the turn of events. I love the plot! It was definitely one of the most original plots for D/Hr fanfics that I've read.
I don't know if the author really did a research to add to the details here or her (is it safe to assume that the author's female?) imagination's just colorful, in fact bursting with colors. But what I do know is this fic felt like it's the right mix. The way the conflict was written, same as the climax and other scenes wasn't overdone. It wasn't mushy. It was just right.
I definitely recommend this to those who loves long fics and unique stirring between our favourite couple.

Review: Learning to Love
Learning to Love by Rainy Days [★] - abandoned
Summary: After a wild night at a party, Hermione and Draco need to live with the product of their actions, an unborn child. Can either put aside their hatred and maybe even learn to love one another?
People might ask why I didn't finished reading this when the summary is interesting. Well, that's actually one of the problem. The summary really caught my interest, it has lots of reviews and faves but it turned out wrong...
With all due respect, I am sorry if I sound like bashing this fic but the following are what I observed while I was reading it. Unfortunately, I only finished till the second chapter.
The part about them waking up together after a party brought me back to The Dragon's Bride that's why I was excited to read this. But when they woke up, I was surprised when I read that Hermione and Draco didn't recognize each other. Before that, I thought Draco was just acting smug about what happened and expected a pool of insults but guess what, I only got mudblood and the basics to their banter. It didn't even sound like a real one. Why? Because Draco carried Hermione down the stairs because she has a hangover and Draco's worried. Draco worried about a mudblood?
Both of them weren't acting like the way they should and it's not even your common OOC. It's like they're not Malfoy and Granger at all. They haven't insulted each other except the common mudblood and prat. It's like Draco is having this split personality; one minute he was down in one knee, proposing to Hermione (not out of love, people!) then he's insulting her with the mudblood word the moment he stood up.
What seems worse, in my opinion, is that this seems muggle-ish. It's like your normal short-story with a characters named Draco and Hermione. Then words like magic, wand, wizards and witches were just thrown in to make readers believe that this is actually a story about the characters we've known from Harry Potter. The spells weren't even there, the exact words I mean.
Even the environment seems wrong. I might have understood if Hermione lived in Muggle London but what about Draco? There weren't any hints of them living in the Wizarding World. Even Draco drives a car and has a butler and maid. Aren't they one of the oldest pureblood families? They're supposed to have house elves not butlers and maids.
It's sad how this amazing plot came down with this. I don't know which part others liked, since I haven't finished reading this, but maybe it's just the perfectionist me talking. But to be brutally honest, I was extremely disappointed.

Review: Abyss
Abyss by zarah joyce [★★★★]
Summary: Draco saves Hermione the night Hogwarts is attacked. Now, complications arise between the two as they fight their feelings, as well as other foes, in reclaiming their lost school.
This was amazingly written. The characters were believable, if not perfect. And the events/scenes that happened were very much appropriate, i.e., no unnecessary scenes included that would drag the story.
I like how it defiant Harry was when he knew about Draco's change of heart. He wasn't forgiving and friendly like how others portray him to be. This makes his character believable; how he's willing to accept it though he's making clear that he's definitely not okay with it.
I love how the first chapter started: with all the chaos and not just some neutral scene. This made it exciting to read. And above all, I love how Draco saved Hermione and switched side not because he's bloody in love with her. Given his personality, what Hermione said about why he saved her had the ring of truth.
I also liked how the story ended not in happily-ever-after. It gives readers something to think about for themselves.

You know my demons, Malfoy. You know what I'm running away from. You know them because Merlin knows you're helping me run away from them. Perhaps… it's time… that I get to know yours, so I can return the favor. Maybe… in some way, I can help you run away from them as well.

Review: Bound to You
Bound to You (sequel to Unbelievably) by DanishGirl [★★]
Summary: Hermione is bound to Draco, whether she like it or not. She is determined on finding a way to get rid of the bracelet that binds her to him, but something unexpected happens.
I am quite disappointed with the sequel since I expected much from Unbelievably. I was expecting a bit of adventure in this because of what they needed to know. But unfortunately, it seems to focus on Draco and Hermione's already-yielding hate for each other. Maybe it was the length because it only has 6 chapters. I really wish it was a bit longer than that, but obviously not too long to bore the readers.
Nevertheless, the ending was okay. And criticisms aside, this fic was more than what I expected. A little tweak might have made this superb but this is definitely not a flop.
