Stuff like this makes me want to give up art, at least professionally. 

What’s the point in spending thousands of hours learning to paint when someone can liquify and paint over a photo and be lauded as a genius. And when anyone calls them out on it, it’s denied until the “artist” realises they’ve been caught, and then they say it was a legit technique all along. 

This guy, Irakli Nadar, has now started saying that this method is just like how musicians remix things, when just a few days before he was claiming it was all hand painted and he’s a photo realism genius the likes of which has never been seen before. 

These people and their infinitely stubborn fans make me not want to be a part of the art industry in any way. It’s pretty depressing really. This is the opposite of an inspiration post I know, but I wanted to say something about this somewhere I wouldn’t be attacked by the fans as nothing but a jealous hater.
