heechul: this date sucks.
leeteuk: It's because it isn't a date. I told you I was just going to the supermarket.
heechul: Then why did you invite me?
leeteuk: I didn't! I said "No Heechul, you can't go, I'm only going to buy groceries", and you said, "fuck you Leeteuk! I do what I want!" and followed me here

All right. Okay. So here’s the thing. I’ve been a Green Day fan since I was a teen. I’ve only been a part of our little Tumblr community here for a….uhhh…. couple months? Three months? I don’t know. It’s only been about a minute. Case and point is I’ve been neck deep for a LONG time weather that fact was right on the surface or kind of sitting in the back of my mind it’s been there for pretty much ever. I’ve seen them live multiple times. I picked an instrument back up because of them. I can go on but I WILL start to ramble so HERE’S the thing. If a person says ‘I like/love Green Day’ that makes them a fan. If they say they’re a fan THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE! - you don’t have to have encyclopedic knowledge of the band. - you don’t have to know EVERY song. - it doesn’t matter if you haven’t been to a show. - it doesn’t matter if you don’t have merch - It is COMPLETELY OKAY to not like albums or songs - it doesn’t matter if Kerplunk brought you in or if you’re BRAND spanking new and God’s Favorite Band brought you falling into the bandoms lap. WELCOME! Come on in. Enjoy yourself. Scream a lot or don’t. Meet people, FIGHT THEM. You’re a part of the community now. Just don’t be a dick, yeah?

Captain Falcon Palette Swap Breakdown
Falcon was initially grouped with Samus in the N64 title. In Melee he was grouped by fans under the Space Animal moniker for having similar physics to Fox and Falco. Since then Star Fox and F-Zero have referenced each other with characters and scenarios, and he was even grouped in their same column in Brawl.

Falcon’s initial Smash appearance has the distinction of being the only 64 design that’s Smash original. It bears the greatest resemblance to his F-Zero X appearance, but is purple instead of blue.
He also has the distinction of being the only character with 6 playable swaps in 64. Yoshi also had 6 swaps but 2 were CPU only.

The Smash 64 website officially stated the black swap is based on his appearance in a Japanese ad for F-Zero X. You can watch it here.

His red swap is based on his evil clone Blood Falcon, introduced in F-Zero X.

His pink swap matches the color scheme of Jody Summer, also introduced in F-Zero X.

The green swap somewhat resembles the color scheme of Pico’s Wild Goose on the SNES.

Finally his blue swap is based directly on his F-Zero X appearance, rather than the default purple.
Melee is a direct update of his 64 design and colors. The default purple has shifted to a dark blue. The blue swap has been given a whitish blue scarf to differentiate it further from the default.
Brawl is now a Smash Original design. His shoulder guard has been redesigned to be double layered and his scarf now hangs out instead of being tucked in. Neither of these design choices come from F-Zero GX. In fact the most prominent new element from GX, the expanded Falcon emblem on his helmet, has not been added. F-Zero X’s helmet is still favored here.

His black design got a main series counter part in F-Zero GX, albeit with a black helmet instead of a red one.
Green has updated to a pink scarf.

In the jump from Melee the blue swap gained an orange shoulder guard. This resembles Falcon’s most recent appearance in F-Zero GP Legend, and his original appearance in F-Zero for the SNES.
A few scarf colors changed around and the green swap got a new helmet, but otherwise the Brawl designs are intact.

His new yellow swap bears a resemblance to Dr. Stewart’s costume and his machine the Golden Fox. With the green swap resembling Pico and Samurai Goroh as an Assist Trophy, this interpretation allows all four original racers to have some representation in Smash.

While the placement of the colors isn’t exact, the new blue swap resemble’s Rick Wheeler’s color scheme. Wheeler first appeared in F-Zero GP Legend and its tie in anime where he was famously chosen to take up the mantle of Captain Falcon.
That does it for the space series. However Captain Falcon is tied to yet another Smash franchise by way of a new comer reveal trailer. Fire Emblem is next.
