Hey everyone, this will be one of my more vulnerable posts, so just a heads-up. First off, sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately. My mental health hasn’t been at its best, and I’ve been feeling the increased effects of isolation and anxiety due to the ongoing pandemic. I’m trying to take it day by day. Some days are better than others. I’m having a hard time finishing things, and being consistent with plans and goals has become quite difficult. I’m sure many of us are feeling this way. While it’s easy to feel a sense of despair and hopelessness, know that these feelings are perfectly normal and valid when our world is so messed up. We’re in the middle of a global pandemic, a civil rights uprising, an environmental catastrophe, and those murder hornets are probably still around somewhere. It’s ok to be outraged about what is going on. It’s ok to not be ok. This doesn’t mean that these feelings may subside if the world happens to take a turn for the better, but breaking the stigma towards discussing mental health is one of the first steps. Please understand that you may not know what someone is truly going through. Social media isn’t real life, as much as it has been integrated into our daily routines.
