Are You Watching Who's Watching You
Tumblr media
Counter surveillance is a bigger issue today than ever before. It's not just for the government and military anymore. As the need for security increases in the corporate world, the need for reliable counter surveillance equipment increases as well. Who's trying to steal your documents? Who's listening in on your business meetings? Who's out to get your secrets? That is the question CEOs are asking.
One of the leading factors that are driving the counter surveillance industry, today, is securing information in the private sector. The counter surveillance industry has been growing since Watergate. That's right, slowly at first, but at an ever increasing rate. As time goes on the secrets are getting bigger, and that demands more and more effort to keep them safe and away from competitors. Most big corporate offices today are equipped with RF detectors, white noise, camera hunters and more. Smaller businesses are steadily increasing the presence of counter surveillance equipment in the work place.
Security has become a concern for the average person to. Many people are worried about Patek Philippe watch protective film surveillance equipment in their homes, tracking devices on their vehicles, software installed on their cell phones and the list goes on. People are not only worried about their homes what with all the hidden videos showing up on the internet. With hidden cameras in hotel and motel rooms and peephole cameras it's no wonder people are worried about their security. We have all heard about the ever famous dressing room and bathroom cameras. What's a person to do? Enter counter surveillance equipment for the everyday man, and woman, and women seem to be the favorite target of hidden cameras. I make sure all my women have the camera hunter in their purse when they leave home. The camera hunter can find hidden cameras whether they are wireless or hardwired, even if the camera is turned off. Once in the dressing room or bathroom one quick scan around the room to be sure no one is watching or filming you.
So now you know, we all live in a world where nothing is sacred and no one is quite safe anymore. Fortunately we live in a world where everyone has the capacity to protect themselves from the voyeuristic predators and the corporate spies.

Rogue Warrior: Tough Watches
Tumblr media
Strict watch requirements
Richard Marcinko aka the "Rogue Warrior", a retired Navy SEAL Commander wanted a watch built for him. But this wouldn't be any run-of-the mill type watch, this watch had to conform to his strict set of criteria.
These criteria were governed by necessary characteristics that would be useful in a military watch. It had to be a tough watch, one that could withstand the harsh environments a soldier has to endure and the main criteria were that:
* The watch was readable in all lighting situations.
* That readability wasn't compromised by condensation forming inside the watch.
* That the watch had the best type of shock protection possible.
* That it was affordable to the average soldier.
Meeting the Requirements
To find a watchmaker Best IWC Protective Films that could build this watch was not easy, Marcinko met with many and had no luck. Eventually he ended up partnering with an ex employee from MTM watches - a military watchmaker, well known for one of their watches being worn by "Jack Bauer" on the show "24".
Cutting edge solutions were used in order to meet these requirements.
A dial readable in all lighting conditions.
To achieve this, firstly a design was created that involved a combination of dial and hands that were highly legible that you could quickly and easily read at a glance.
On top of this, in order for it to be read in low light conditions, a lume needed to be applied. In this case Super Luminova was used.
When moving from cold to warm environments and vice versa condensation can form inside the watch, that this barrier to watch legibility be avoided was another of Marcinko's criteria for creating his ideal military watch. Condensation is caused by the air inside the watch, so a way to solve this problem is to fill the watch with a gas that doesn't form condensation.

The Features That Help a Technomarine Watch Protect Its Wearer
Tumblr media
Diving watches were originally created to help military personnel when conditions got a little wet. However, they were also invented for professional divers. Technomarine is a watch brand that specifically serves this purpose. In order to be titled as a diving watch, the watch needs to be completely water resistant to at least three hundred thirty feet or a hundred meters. However, a Technomarine watch can go up to nine hundred feet or three hundred meters, making them the top choice in diving timepieces.
The standards for these watches are set by the International Organization for Standardization. The criteria that diving watches have to meet are established because not just any watch can survive the harsh underwater conditions that diving can present. It's this strict set of rules that allow for a diving watch to hold its title.
It's the cases of these Best Omega Protective Films watches that really face the test when submerged in water. They must be tightly sealed against the intrusion of water and must be able to stand up to the harsh corrosive effects of sea water. The cases feature special corrosion resistant metals and the case is reinforced in order to be able to handle shocks and the effects of magnetic fields.
The pressure of the deep water also has potentially damaging effects on watches. Because of this, diving watches are much sturdier than dress watches. The salt present in ocean water is highly corrosive, and when exposed for too long, the water can make metal rust. Diving watches come in a variety of materials, including plastics, resins, titanium, ceramic, and stainless steel, which are able to withstand the effects of corrosion, shock, and magnetic forces.
