Quartz container refers to a container made of quartz glass. Quartz glass is a glass composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) with the characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, good light transmittance, and good electrical insulation. Therefore, quartz containers are also widely used in chemical, metallurgical, electronic, optical, medical and other fields.
Common types of quartz containers include:
* Beaker: used for heating, dissolving and evaporating liquids.
* Flask: used for heating, distilling and synthesizing chemicals.
* Test tube: used for holding, heating and reacting liquids.
* Crucible: used for melting metals and other high-temperature materials.
* Evaporating dish: used for evaporating liquids.
* Filter: used for filtering liquids.
Quartz containers should pay attention to the following matters when using:
* Avoid collision and impact: Quartz containers are brittle and should be avoided from collision and impact to avoid damage.
* Slow heating and cooling: Quartz containers should be heated and cooled slowly to avoid damage due to thermal expansion and contraction.
* Avoid contact with corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis: Quartz containers should avoid contact with corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis to avoid corrosion.
Quartz containers are an important experimental equipment that plays an important role in scientific research and industrial production.

Classified by optical properties:
1. (UV optical quartz glass) JGS1
It is an optical quartz glass made of artificial stone with SiCl4 as raw material, and melted by high-purity hydrogen-oxygen flame. Therefore it contains a large amount of hydroxyl groups (about 2000 ppm) and has excellent UV transmission properties. Especially in the short-wave UV region, its transmission properties are far superior to all other types of glass. The UV transmittance at 185nm can reach 90% or higher. Synthetic quartz glass has a strong absorption peak at 2730 nm and has no grain structure. It is an excellent optical material in the range of 185-2500nm.
2. (UV optical quartz glass) JGS2
It is quartz glass refined by gas with crystal as raw material, and contains dozens of PPM metal impurities. There is an absorption peak at 100nm (the hydroxyl content is 200-2730ppm), and it has a stripe and granular structure. It is an excellent material in the 220-2500 nm band range.
3. (Infrared optical quartz glass) JGS3
It is a quartz glass produced from crystal or high-purity quartz sand through a vacuum pressure furnace (ie, electric melting method), which contains dozens of PPM metal impurities. But it has small air bubbles, grain structure and stripes, almost no OH, and high infrared transmittance. The light transmittance exceeds 85%. Its application range is 260-3500 nm optical materials.
