Chasing the rush of finishing the crochet work for my gallery show by going back and completing almost-done projects, like this granny hexagon lap blanket!
Bonus pics of me lookin' greasy with it (for scale) :

Current progress for my sheep sweater.
The pattern was worn by Princess Diana back in the 1980s. Progress is slow, but I love working on it. Also, I think itโs cool that people were knitting the same sweater Iโm knitting today back in the 1980s.

I think this little backpack is actually one of my favorite things I've crocheted! It was fun to make, looks amazing, and was cobbled together from a few different tutorials. I used this one for the general assembly, though I just kind of freehanded the straps as plain rows of HDC and added colorful edging. I like that the combination of big and small squares allowed me to add more variation in the form of those little classic grannies along the bottom and sides, which also look kind of starry with the yellow cores. For the big squares, I used these sun and moon patterns, and I made one of these for the drawstring (using a doubled strand and a bigger hook for the cord portion because I thought it should be nice and chunky).
In the end, it came out great! More than the sum of its parts for sure! Also, I think the neon thread shot through the yarn in combination with the smiley daisy button give it a Lisa Frank vibe, which I always appreciate.

I had a small amount of that woolfolk yarn left and decided one of those trendy mini scarfs could be nice. This is a free crochet pattern called Blommig sjal for which the author hand drew the charts. Hand drawn!

this is extremely niche but im very curious- i keep seeing videos of people working purely from the skein and ive always been taught to roll it up into a ball (pls reblog for a bigger sample size)
#i knit and crochet and i generally wind it into a ball#i find a ball easiest to work off of but like 20% of the time i'll just work off of the skein if i'm feeling lazy
