This actually calmed me down about the whole Hawks dying things 

Stop. Saying. That Hawks. Will die here.

I'm trying to live in denial and all of you pessimists are making it difficult, so here's a list of reasons why I think that won't happen:

1. Keigo's name literally means truthteller. Hori has made it a pattern for his names to always relate in some way to the character, and Hawks is still the only one who needs to act on the foreshadowing of his.

2. Keigo has been set up as the bridge between Enji and Dabi, and has already brought them to collision once. It makes sense from a narrative point of view, considering his own past abuse and his admiration of an unsuspecting abuser, that he will eventually learn the truth about who Dabi is and how Enji played into that.

3. If Dabi kills him, and the building crumbles, Dabi essentially said goodbye to his and Twice's only chance to get out of there alive. And Dabi still has his vendetta plot to act on so he cannot die here, either.

4. There have been multiple cases of foreshadowing that Hawks will meet Shigaraki and he hasn't yet.

5. Shigaraki and Hawks are written as foils so they need to meet each other eventually. To balance out each other. Both of them were taken in as kids by people who used them as tools, twisting their entire mindset to think of themselves and their own emotions as something that holds them back from their goals. Hawks is a character that craves genuine connection, and Shigaraki is someone who will always make a home for all the rejects and misfots that society will not accept. Hawks has been told that his individuality doesn't matter, that he should get rid of it because when he slows down people die. Shigaraki never valued his comrades for the strength of their powers, but only ever as people. And Shigaraki has been lacking a purpose, and let himself be brought forward by an indiscriminate desire for destruction, but he lacks a purpose. Hawks can give him one. Together, they can destroy the institutions and the people who victimized them both.

6. Twice is still there (if Dabi hasn't accidentally roasted him too), and Twice doesn't like internal conflict amongst his friends. He still blames himself for brining Overhoe to the lov, resulting in the loss and injury of comrades. Doing this for a second time is not a way to set up growth on Hori's part, it's overkill. If Hawks simply remains a friend turned foe until the end, Twice will keep blaming himself, and will keep persisting in his toxic mindset of having to prove that he's worth staying with the lov, that he has to pay them back. For Twice's character arc to make sense, Hawks needs not only to survive, but to turn into an asset for the lov, but this time for real. As a friend.

7. Twice and Hawks are also foils. Both of them have 0 self esteem and think that sacrificing themselves for others is what they need to do. We already know from Twice's arc in mva that this mindset is what's holding him back from finding true happiness and will eventually be corrected by the story, so since Hawks' mindset is the same, it stands to reason his will be corrected as well.

8. Hawks' wings catching fire was foreshadowed forever ago, so we all expected this to happen eventually. The Icarus symbolism and all that jazz. But you're missing a crucial point. Twice, now, it was Enji's fire burning them. One,

And two, directly in-story:

So the Icarus foreshadowing is that Enji is gonna melt his wax wings and bring about his metaphorical fall from grace. Not Dabi. It was never about dying but about reaching clarity. And you know what a bird with flaming wings is?

A phoenix. Aka a symbol for rebirth.

9. Hawks' entire character is based around the concept of self-sacrifice for the greater good. Killing him here, after he sacrificed his own future with the league for the sake of a victory for the heroes, after he literally cornered himself like a martyr, confessing his betrayal to the man he hurt the most, is like killing him in the middle of his character arc. Characters are supposed to grow and evolve and be challenged throughout a story, not be handed everything they want without any narrative losses. Having Dabi burn him and rough him up for his betrayal is narrative punishment for what he did, but narrative punishment cannot work if the character dies 5 minutes later before he can drive home that loss and grow from it.

Aizawa x Touya/Dabi

I was just re-reading the manga and I was stuck on the panel with Aizawa attacking Dabi and then I thought how kinky it looked and then I thought oh lol how awkward would that be for shoto So here is my take on a universe where I can have Shoto be so fucking embarrassed of his homeroom teacher fucking his eldest brother.

Dabi  is not a villain he is Touya Todoroki. 25 year old grad-student. 

He goes tot the U.A. sports festivals to supports his younger brother and when wishing him lock before his fight with Midoriya he sees Aizawa and Shoto introduces the two. 

They hit it off. 

After Shoto’s fight with Bakugo he is out cold and Touya is in the nurse’s office, waiting for Sho to wake up. 

Aizawa drops by, they get to talk. They’re hitting off pretty well.

Shoto notes his brother is not as often around the house a lot. Another thing he seems to realise is that his teacher is more tired than ever, but in a better mood. 

One night he wakes up in the middle of night and he wants to grab some water and he walks past his brother’s room and he hears a painful moan and he thinks his brother is in pain. Maybe he fell off his bed or something. 

He opens the door to check on him, but he freezes at the sight. 

He sees Aizawa pouding in his brother’s ass. He sees Touya tied up with Aizawa’s scarf, he is gagged. His teacher has Sho’s brother’s arm bend painfully, ready to break it any seconds. 

Dabi notices Shoto. He freezes in place.

Aizawa notices him. He freezes too. 

Shoto is staring wide eyed. 

Aizawa and Dabi are staring. 

Shoto slowly closes the door. 

The next day he is in class and he doesn’t look at his homeroom teacher. His homeroom teacher isn’t looking at him either. They ignore each other completely. 

The rest of 1-A notices this. Especially when Mineta is getting scolded for being late one day but when Shoto came late the next day. He didn’t even bat an eye and resumed is lesson as usual. 

At first he thought it was just some weird sex those two were up to. Later he hears his sister mention Touya is getting pretty close with a guy he has been seeing and later he hears his teacher was introduced by Touya as his boyfriend to Natsu. 

When the U.A dorm system is put in place Aizawa has to deal more with the problem class and it gives him stress, but Dabi drops by to relieve his tension

One day he comes by, not realising class was cancelled and he sees Shoto in the hallway and he sees his brother and he thinks is brother came by for his birthday and that it was very sweet. 

Dabi pretends he remembered Shoto’s birthday. He sees Aizawa stick his head from the corner and he frowns and Dabi is indicating to him to ‘abort their plans’. 

“Oh you brought a gift! How nice” Shoto takes the small black box from Touya thinking it was a present of his birthday and Dabi smacks it out of his hand out of the window because there is a sex-toy in. 

Shoto stared at him. Dabi pretends it was a nervous tick. 

They hear Bakugo shout what moron thought it was a good idea to throw a box out of a window. 

Kirishima asks what is in there and opens it. He looks at the weird silicone ring in there that vibrates. Bakugo tells him to not fucking touch it. it is disgusting. 

Shoto looks at his brother.

Touya sees Aizawa’s head slowly disappear from around the corner, making him fend for himself. 

Dabi looks at Shoto,  “April fools…hahah..” 

“It is January…” Shoto says. 

Another time Aizawa checks on his student in their common room. He sees Shoto is wearing a band T-shirt that belonged to Touya. Not too strange for brother’s to share clothes. He sees Shoto turn around and he sees he is wearing a collar around his neck. A certain collar he had gifted Dabi. A collar Touya was wearing, that Aizawa was pulled on with a leash as he was giving him head. Now that he looked at it with the memories in his head he realises Shoto looks like his brother Dabi. And it is a very awkward realisation

Midoriya asks if Aizawa sensei is alright, he looks pale. 

“U.A DRESS CODE PROHIBITS THE WEARING OF COLLARS!” 

Shoto and Tokoyami share a look, it is Saturday…There is no uniforms on saturday who cared about dress codes on campus ground. Their teacher worse a lingerie in front of the classroom. 

“These are chokers.” Tokoyami says. 

“PROHIBITED!” 

“But why..” This was probably the first time Shoto talked to Aizawa since he caught him banging his brother. 

“BECAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE A WHORE!” 

“Jokes on you, I borrowed this from my brother!” Shoto says back. 

“I KNOW! I SAID WHAT I SAID!”

“Wait…Why does Aizawa-sensei know what accessories Todoroki’s brother has…Holy moly…Aizawa-sensei is seeing Todoroki’s brother!”  

Fuck class 1-A consisted of a bunch of idiot but were smart whenever it favored them.  Aizawa looks away. Shoto looks away. 

“That explains why you two have been ignoring each other! Holy shit how awkward is this!” 

Dabi asks if Shouta wants to come over this his family dinner. Shouta says shit is awkward since his student is his brother. Dabi says his youngest brother is staying at U.A that weekend so there was no need to feel uncomfortable. 

Unlucky for Aizawa that Shoto came to surprise visit his sister and now the family dinner was super awkward and it was clear both Shoto and Shota were trying to find an excuse to leave. Unluck for them. Neither could. 

Touya: “Sho-chan, pass the hot sauce, will ya” 

Both Aizawa and Shoto reach for the hot sauce. 

“Oh right Shoto, Shouta…I call you both Sho….Oh shit what awkward realisation.”  Dabi laughs it off. 

“There are seven billion people on this planet! Let’s say half of them are woman. Lets say from the remaining 3.5 billion people 1/6 is queer that is 0,6 billion people you could be fucking. For fuck’s sake we split that number in two  that is stil point 3 billion people you could be sleeping with, BUT YOU CHOOSE MY FUCKING HOME-ROOM TEACHER?!”  Shoto shouts at Dabi. 

Dabi shrugs.

“He has a big dick.” Touya grins.

“Enough of you for today!” Aizawa stuffs a breadstick in Dabi’s mouth and he gag slightly on it, but then wings at Shouta and Shoto just got up and said. “I won’t be attending homeroom for a while.” and leaves. 

“Ah Sho-chan, come on don’t be such a prick!” Touya says and then turns to Aizawa. “I mean both of you.”
