Expectations of society

I began to notice that the weather seems to change.

Along with me moods every night and every day.

It rains as I cry and its sunny as I smile,

But it never seems to last at least not for a while.

 Most days are grey, and dull, and lifeless.

No sign of joy and no sign of sadness.

But why could that be when I have so much?

My life is filled to the brim yet I’m cold to the touch.

 Now I’m at the point where I must force out a laugh

Why am I like this when there’s everything I have?

They expect me to smile and put on a show.

Of course, I’ll play along no one else can know

 After some time, I finally worked out the problem.

Society wants me to be the same as all them.

And while I may disagree, I can’t exactly change

Because to be who I am is to be called strange

 Thanks to these rules I now cover up the mirror.

I can bare to look at that person, that figure.

And see the disappointment of how I failed to break free.

From the chains, and rules, and conforms of society.

 I wish things were different and that I’d just try.

But I can’t risk the pain, I don’t want to cry.

If I were to be who I am, they would only laugh.

I already hat myself isn’t that enough?

 I’m sorry I failed you but I can’t face these fears.

Though I hope you succeed even if it takes years.

Be wonderful, be different, be exotic be strange.

Be a light in the dark and start a new age.

Writing prompt 6:

Forget about enemies to lovers. I want to see lovers to enemies. Start it out with two people who are so happy and in love then end with the world in ruins. End with fire and anguish, hatred and broken hearts, fear and pain. Don’t let the protagonist find someone better, don’t let the antagonist have a redemption arc, better yet have both of them be in the wrong. Not everyone is likeable. Not everyone worthy of forgiveness. Not all main characters have to be the hero. Not all stories have a happy ending.

Once upon a time, there was a princes, in a tower, guarded by a ferocious dragon. Over the years, many knights and princes tried slaying the beast until one frosty day, a man succeeded. Little did he know, the princess loved the dragon who had protected her from the evil of the human race and she will do anything to bring him back. Anything.

Writing Prompt 4:

While stranded in the middle of no where, you are attacked from behind. Unable to defend yourself against the unseen force, you end up on the ground losing blood knowing its only a matter of time before you bleed out. Just before you lose consciousness you watch in terror as a wolf stalks out of the trees towards you. As darkness takes over, the last thing you remember is someone lifting you into their arms with the full moon reflected in their eyes.

When you die, you get to choose whether you go to Heaven or Hell. When your time comes, you choose Hell thinking it cant be too bad. Turns out you are the the third person to have chosen it in all of history. The first person being the love of your life who died years ago. The second, it seems that the Devil has a son and he has heard all about you. Eternity is going to be one Hell of a ride.
