AND to the hundreds of people who have commented on this and said “this is what defense lawyers do” no. There job is too defend their client. Clinton defended her client by saying the girl was asking for it and victim blaming. Complete scum. Isn’t that the same rape culture everyone wants to get rid of? Yet here is Hillary saying oh well it wasn’t rape she was asking for it. She took this case on as a favor and did not have to take it.

A Psalm for Gaia

The Earth is my mother, I shall not want. She nurtures me in green pastures; she freshens me with flowing waters. She restores my body and awakens my soul. Although I walk in the shadow of changing seasons and passing time, I will not fear death, for the essence of life is within me, the peace and beauty of Earth comfort me. She teaches me to harvest her abundant gifts, she fills my heart with compassion, I drink from the cup of simple pleasures. As I look to the skies with wonder at the immensity of the universe, I know I am blessed beyond measure to live all the days of my life in the bountiful house of Gaia.

My Early-morning spell to make things less awful

This is a small spell I do on mornings when Everything Is Terrible and I Do Not Want To Be A People.

You will need:

- A hot drink of your choice, I use very very hot tea with milk in. Hot is important. Not so hot that your cup hurts you, though.

- A nice cup or mug that makes you feel happy.

- the ability to blow air over a cup.

Make your drink, maybe also make breakfast if that’s a thing you do. Once you’ve got your drink poured and piping, take it in your hands and have a little sit-down. As you hold the cup imagine the warmth in your hands is all the possible good things that could happen, and you are filling up your drink with good thoughts and good vibes. Blow the steam away from the cup, it is the negativeness and awfulness you are feeling. Once you have filled the cup with enough good vibes (and it’s cool enough),  drink down the goodness and feel it warm you down to your toes.

If you want to add things like honey or milk, when you stir it in think about all that sweetness permeating your drink, your time, and your attitude with its milky or sweet goodness.

Proceed about your day with a belly full of not-as-terrible-as-things-were-when-you-woke-up.

Sometimes I say a little chant. You can use mine, or make up your own.

Give me good things, make me glad.

Today I don’t feel like being sad.

Drink is warm and drink is milky

Make this day fun and good and silly.

Drink is sweet and drink is yummy

Warm my day and warm my tummy.
