They didn’t have sex the second time either, though Frank realized only halfway through the meal that it had been a date. A real one. Shen had cooked. There were candles scattered around. The playlist had been suspiciously curated. And Shen had looked at him with this sort of patience that felt like an invitation Frank was still struggling to read. Now, the third time, they had made it as far as the bedroom. Sort of.
