Why do I think an adolescent should be able to do the developmental tasks? I feel that adolescents’ standard of living would improve if they completed all developmental tasks. The sooner people realize it, the better. This would provide valuable insight into how teenagers like me transitioned from being carefree to rebellious to emotionally weary to becoming completely self-aware children who desired to reconcile with their parents. How does this knowledge helped me to have proper and healthier living as an adolescent? With this understanding, I was able to recognize that my behavior and feelings were typical at the time, but now I know better because I understood how critical this phase is for me early on. I suppose I was able to approach life with more maturity and wisdom than most individuals my age. This can be my guide until the end of my adolescent years. I believe that adolescence is all about figuring out and practicing how to be a responsible adult in the future.
