Family looks out for each other even when they’d rather not, that's what we’re for, ” Augustus’ voice raised ever so slightly but he managed to keep from shouting, though just barely. It was frustrating to him that Oz just never seemed to care about him or his younger brothers yet would dote upon those two misfits that were always tagging along. Though he himself did hold them in a degree of fondness as well and certainly did not blame them for Oz’s behavior. “ Oz, you are still new here, in the grand scheme of things. You barreled in here acting like you do and pissed off quite the amount of people. I’d advise you to watch your back. ”

Sandy’s arms wrapped around the younger guardian most likely harder than he’d intended as relief flooded him. He nodded yes at the query, golden eyes looking Jack up and down to see if there were any noticeable injuries on him. “ How are you ? ” he signed, letting go of the other for a moment so he might be able to communicate properly. His brow furrowed slightly, worry cascading down him once again despite himself. Just because the other looked fine didn’t mean he was and now Sandy was worried maybe there was something wrong and he’d just missed it.

“ Some have called me Ariel before, you may use that if you wish, ”  the pixie responded. Weather that was always their name or weather that had been given to them by the witch Prospero, they could no longer recall. They could not think of a time anyone had used a different one to refer to them, but there was also that age before the island that had been blocked from their memory.

Robin was tired. And bored. Not a good combination given he wasn't in a place he was very familiar with and with what was happening in the world recently. He was lost in thought when an unfamiliar voice snapped him back to his surroundings. “ Real life story or made up one ? ” the prince of thieves inquired, even though he wasn't positive he wanted to accept the offer just yet.

     the alcohol too bitter for his own tastes, he hides a grimace, sighing as he leans back. the glass is set down on the counter, eyes watching his surroundings idly as his fingers trace the rim. there are a lot of things he is running away from, ignoring with all he has; war, responsibilities, family —- he lets it go, favors what he wants, and discards the rest. tonight, the tavern is loud, but nowhere near as entertaining as he hopes it would be. when someone’s seated nearby, looking as unoccupied as he is, it can’t help but get his attention, and he leans towards them before he speaks. “your next drinks are on me if you tell me a good story —” he lets out playfully, eyebrows raised as if offering a challenge.

jack, how do you really feel about your dearest friend Sally?

“ What do you mean really ? She is my Dearest friend, closest companion, the queen of Halloween town. I really feel she is one of the only people I shall ever want to spend my whole life with and not grow weary of. ” He neglected to add that there was indeed another who may soon rival that as that had not been the question. And his feelings towards Sally were indeed true and real, just perhaps changing.
