This glitch allows you to steal of a weapon from an enemy in one shot The only downside is it must be a weapon that can be thrown with! Throw command. All right, you'll need a Ninja and a Thief in your party. You'll also need to find an enemy who has a weapon worth stealing. Once you've found such an enemy, you must rid your inventory of that weapon, so the glitch will work properly. Finally, go to the Item menu and leave the first slot empty just switch the top item with a blank slot. Now go Equip, and Remove the thief's weapon. Time for battle! As the battle begins, your Thief will get the first move. Choose Item, choose his weapon in the first slot , and then equip it in his right hand. When the Ninja's turn comes up, choose Throw, and 'throw' the blank first slot, where the Thief's weapon was. Oddly, the game will let you throw this blank slot sometimes it says M5 , but it does 0 damage. No worries On the Thief's next turn, steal from the enemy so you get the weapon you've been wanting. Now on the Ninja's next turn, Throw this newly-acquired weapon it will be in the first slot at the enemy. Now kill the enemy with any method, if the throw didn't already kill him. Next time you check your item inventory, you'll see 55 of the weapon you stole. In reality, you now have of the weapon, which you can sell for GP, or keep to save time on that perfect save. I've found that sometimes in using this glitch to get MythrilSword from the Ice Soldier, I end up with 99 instead of [2]55 of the weapon. I don't know the reason for this, but MythrilSword can be sold for about GP apiece, which is profitable. I realize this all sounds confusing, but follow the instructions and it will work. Using the! This item inflicts unblockable Berserk, Haste, and Image. Here's the catch; not even bosses can block this. If you use this on Ex-Death's first form, then proceed to kill him, he will die without being engulfed by the void and just fade away like a normal boss. After a few seconds of nothing, the ending will suddenly start playing without ever fighting Neo Ex-Death. Please note: I have not tested this on anything other then the PS1 Anthology collection. All you have to do is use a soft on them. This can be exploited mercilessly in the basement of Val Castle to farm massive amounts of job points and money against the rock statues that spawn there. Makes for a speedy job mastery. Remedy also works, but is a much more costly option and is not recommended. When successful, the enemy will turn into a spirit and just fly away. In world one when you get the Hiryuu Dragon you have access to Tycoon Castle. If you go, there's a scene involving Leena and Faris where Leena suspects Faris may be her long lost sister, Sarisa, and Faris denies it. But, if you wait until after you get the airship it's an entirley different scene involving Leena's childhood. Contributed by: WeirdSwordDude. In Kelb town, enter the Inn. He'll give you some kind of wine then he'll give you an after meal gift of 8 Potions! You can repeat this to get 24 potions. Before venturing into the Cleft of Dimension, return to the Town of Mua. In the southwest, a door that was previously locked is now open. Through the door is a hidden path that will lead you to a man. He will offer to give you a Brave Sword or a Chicken Knife. The Brave Sword will get stronger as you win battles and the Chicken Knife as you run from battles. If you have a mystic knight on your party, cast Fire 3 and in the next round hit Carbuncle with it. It will not show any damage, but it will kill him. Contributed by: 1Gigabyteofram. Before the battle with Catastrophe, equip a Wall Ring on one of your characters, and cast Float on that same character. Then, go into the battle. Whenever one of your characters is Floating, Catastrophe will always use Gravity to ground that character. However, because that character has a Wall Ring, the attack will be reflected back at him. He will continue to use Gravity for the entire battle, allowing you to use any attacks you need to beat him without the fear of being killed. Take your airship slightly south of the Town of Karnak and submerge underwater. Enter the cave you see and talk to the man inside. He claims to be a psychic and will tell you how many battles you have fought, the number of enemies you've killed, your party's average experience, the percentage of the game's treasure you have collected, and the number of times you have saved your game. In this game, there is a particular Blue Magic spell known as Vampire: it is essentially a Drain spell, in which you damage the target to heal your own HP. If you use it on yourself, though, you are instantly healed to full HP. This glitch is able to occur when the two worlds of the game have merged after you go through Ghido's Cave and done the events in the Library of the Ancients. At the latter, if you use Teleport after all the cutscenes there are done, you'll find yourself at Ghido's Cave rather than the Library. This will allow you to travel around the world on Boko as you can now head towards Tycoon Castle. You can also skip the Pyramid of Moore sequence for the time being: while you do have to do it eventually, you are able to skip it for now and thereby further optimize your party. The most important benefit, however, lies in the ability to now access the Mirage Village early to buy powerful equipment, magic, and items. In addition to the Mirage Village, you can also access a number of areas early, such as the Phoenix Tower and the Sealed Castle where you can earn three of the legendary weapons , and also regain the Black Chocobo. However, due to poor coding, the Berserk effect will be unblockable: this means it can affect anyone, even bosses, who are normally immune to Berserk. This in turn is highly abuseable because Berserk will force the afflicted foe's battle routines to simply "Attack", getting rid of any particularly annoying side-effects or highly powerful moves, and also make it easier for one to prevent damage by simply throwing up Protect. However, note that it is unwise to do this in the solo battle between Galuf and Exdeath. Aside from this, any boss battle is made simpler: in fact, even the final boss battle can be skipped as you will only need to kill the first form and not the second form of the boss. This glitch will allow you to quickly duplicate items such that you can have read as "55" of an item; due to its restrictions, it only works on hand-equipped items. Unequip this character of whatever is in their hands; whatever is unequipped by them, or can be equipped, should then become the first top-left slot in the items menu. Enter a random battle where the monster s have items you wish to steal an infinite number of items from. Then have the character with the Throw command throw the first item in your inventory, which should be a blank. If the initially-thrown item cannot be Thrown, such as a shield or armor, Throw this blank twice, but otherwise only do it once. After, end the battle in any desired way. In the field, return to the inventory and you'll notice that you'll have "55" next to the name of the stolen weapon, or 99 if the item was non-Throwable. As long as this item is never moved from this slot - through manual sorting or the Sort command - or other copies ever bought, you can indefinitely sell this item for massive amounts of money although you'll be selling them one at a time. And, of course, there's also the benefit of cloning unique equipment so that multiple characters can equip the same piece. Contributed by: GakkouGurashiRe. Beat the game once, then the music player will be available in Extra at the main menu. Contributed by: barbarianbob. After so many steps, you are automatically thrust into battle. However, if you quicksave, exit and continue, the step counter is reset. If you take only 5 steps, a few more if you're feeling risky, save and load, you can get all the treasures and get out without encountering a single Jackanapes. Like this, you don't have to run if you are going for the Brave Blade and you do not have to encounter the Jackanapes on your first visit to the castle. The weapon Chicken Knife has a "special" ability to force the user to run away from battle every now and then. But, there is a way to trick the game into NOT activating this effect while still using this powerful weapon. Equip the weapon Twin Lance in your right hand. Equip the weapon Chicken Knife in your left hand. Because Twin Lance has the inherent ability to attack twice, you will be attacking a total of three times with this setup. However, the game is tricked into thinking that all the attacks have already been performed, so it does NOT check the Chicken Knife's special ability when it is the third attack. In the last floor of the Rift, you may encounter a group of three Movers. Altogether they yield AP and , Gil--making them long-sought. However, they have a relatively low encounter rate meaning that one might go on without encountering any Movers for a long time. However, there is a way to induce an encounter with them--first, you must be in the place where you can encounter them. Next, you have to encounter the Movers the hardest part of this exercise. Then, once you've defeated them, quicksave and reload. This should take a couple of seconds. Move around a bit and enter a battle--it'll be against a group of enemies. After that battle, move around and enter another battle--this time, you should encounter three Movers. After the battle, repeat the process and you should get an encounter with Movers on your second battle every time. The Zeningage skill Gil Toss skill is recommended on killing both groups of enemies, and Movers should provide you with an infinite source of cash and AP. The final boss in this game normally has two forms: if you kill the first, you are supposed to go to the second directly for another battle. However, there is a way to bypass this: you will need to kill the first form with Chaos Cannon. So long as that attack kills the first form of Exdeath, the battle ends outright. Perhaps due to a developer oversight, the optional Carbuncle boss is vulnerable to petrification. Noting that the boss is always under Reflect, to easily defeat this boss and obtain the corresponding summon, all you must do is cast Reflect on a party member and then cast Break on them. It'll bounce off your character, bypass Carbuncle's Reflect, and petrify him, granting you an instant win! Contributed by: Eevee-Trainer. Odin can be a difficult summon to obtain, requiring you to beat him in under a minute. However, he is vulnerable to petrification: if petrified, he'll die instantly! Despite this, the Break spell will typically miss; you can bypass this limitation by having a party member use the Break Spellblade ability and then attacking, which guarantees petrification of the target if vulnerable. The GBA release of FF5 has some extra job classes and dungeons thrown in that are unavailable in previous releases of the game. Getting to all of it is detailed in the following chart. Contributed by: UltimaterializerX. Note: The Galuf levels may be acquired by Krile, despite the description saying Galuf. You're Good to Go! Contributed by: 1Gigabyteofram Defeat Catastrophe easily Before the battle with Catastrophe, equip a Wall Ring on one of your characters, and cast Float on that same character.
