I just have a question. Since looking atone of your reblogged posts, it appears that you don't "believe in" or support nonbinary people like myself. My mindset and identity may be out of the ordinary but it shouldn't concern you if it has nothing to do with you. It is your belief and I won't fight to change that but you're basically invalidating an entire groups existence down to chromosomes and science when gender is much more than that. Why are you so against it?

First things first: I have NO idea who you are and have never spoken to you. I feel I need to state that for the the reason that you have made some assumptions about me (based entirely and only on what I REBLOG on this WEBSITE?) that I find odd and silly. I’m not saying this to vilify or demean you, but only sincerely because of genuine curiosity and to point it out to you. It’s just very odd to me that someone I wasn’t even aware of’s existence is asking me why I care so much about them and that I “shouldn’t concern” myself with them. Odd thing. Very ironic.

Second, can you please educate me on who exactly I am “invalidating” and how exactly I am doing that with just reblogging things I find ridiculous from this site? What exactly are you saying I’m “against”?I could make a couple assumptions here about what it is you think I’m guilty of but I figured I’d ask you first.

Real talk, this is the most idiotic thing I've ever read and I've read some ridiculous shit before. Don't give the 15 year old, whiney, mommy-and-daddy-dependant fucks on this site any legitimatcy. I think anybody can form an opinion based off misinformation and misrepresentation. I think generalizations are harmful and counterproductive, and I think extremists operate with huge blindspots.

This person seems to be referring to all porn being made everywhere on any format – which is a very very broad subject.

Right off the bat their statement loses a lot of weight with that.

It comes off as equal to saying “all sharp things are closely related to stab wounds and impalement, causing cuts, bruises, death, and promoting blood loss” , and implies that because sharp things happen to be harmful when used or misused in a certain manner, they should be eradicated completely –whether or not there are many using them safely and effectively.

Anything at all can, has, and will be used in a harmful way. Whether created with or without that intent. Whether applied with or without that intent.

Porn is not the issue – both on a broad scale and a smaller one, too.

On a broad scale, not all porn promotes harmful habits or stereotypes (much to the contrary) , and on a small scale, the porn that does is a reflection of things already very present in many other facets of our society.

Getting rid of it won’t get rid of the problem, and quite frankly, the people targeting porn for tainting their idea of how the world should be need to take a look around to see that people and their livelihoods are being debased by a lot more than what they do or do not decide to get off to.
