I wanna see Hobie’s Deadpool.
Fuck shipping- is there a batshit crazy goth guy that’s obsessed with Hobie and follows him around?
An insane metalhead that loves Spiderpunk and tells Hobie how hot he is and how much he wants to smooch him?
cause if so, hot.

So here's the thing for me about spideypool is that. They have to change. There isn't a convincing story out there where they just immediately get along. Peter doesn't kill. Wade doesn't value life. Wade idolizes Spider-Man; Peter has an immense bias against Deadpool. For Peter, it's enemies to lovers; for Wade, it's like dating a member of one direction.
Many fics do get this, fyi. And most of the ones that do choose to do that in the same way - Wade realizes the error of his actions, improves as a person, decides to become the person Peter would want him to be. And him putting in the work can be so affecting, don't get me wrong. Personally I like this version best when Wade does that work independent of Peter, learns to be better for his own sake. In my own recent-ish spideypool fic, I did that via Wade's daughter, because he repeatedly expresses in his internal narration that he wants better for her than he can currently provide her.
But there is another option, and it's an option I love, it's an option I put into my very first spideypool fic, which I stand by even now. And that option is that instead, Peter gets worse. Peter starts compromising on his ideals, gives in to his darker impulses. Starts acting immorally, maybe even manipulating Wade. He has good intentions, but we all know where that road leads.
Either way, one of them has to change. There is no other option. You can't build a healthy relationship off of contempt and hero worship.
But all I'm saying is. It doesn't necessarily need to be a healthy relationship.
