Finch has been excited for weeks-- they knew Al and David were going to propose to each other any time and it finally happened. The two confided in them about their plans but both had just said that they were waiting for the right moment. Being at the library where they met seemed to be that time. They were rushing to the dumpling place they frequented all the time, wanting to hear all the details from David. Grinning, they said hi to the hostess before walking towards their friend. “Congratulations, Davey baby!!!”

David was still on cloud nine since the moment he and Al got engaged, unable to tear his eyes away from his ring when the two weren’t together. He wanted to relive the moment forever, but he knew one day they would be getting married and that would be the only thing to top this. It was such a special experience that he wanted to share with his best friend. He arrived at their favorite dumpling place, grabbing their usual table and waiting for Finch to get there. He was sitting alone, though he still grinned like an idiot to himself while he was looking at his ring.

Minjoon loved his friends an incredible amount. The people in his life - the people he kept in his life - were very important to him, even when he didn’t leave his apartment for days and on the days he did, his interactions were few and fleeting. He appreciated that he was always given space when he disappeared, even when it was unintentional but making the first move always made him nervous as most things did. Still, he’d called with an invite to lunch, even made the reservation himself and made sure he’d showed up a little earlier than the agreed time so he could get settled at the table beforehand.

Finch, no matter what, would always say yes to their friends whenever they were asked. Unless they were unavailable or had said yes to another friend prior that. But when Minjoon had asked them if they wanted to have lunch, they immediately agreed. It had been a while since the two of them hung out with each other and they would take any opportunity to do so. The other man had visited them a number of times at the hospital even though it must’ve been uncomfortable for him. Walking in the restaurant, the moment they spotted Minjoon, they waved their hand excitedly.
