"Director Phoebe Kemp said in a statement: “Twelfth Night already toys with gender and performance – it feels like Shakespeare wrote it for us. This reading is about joy, solidarity and showing what’s possible when trans and nonbinary artists are at the centre of the story.”"

we seriously need to stop conceding to the personhood trap when it comes to abortion rights. is a fetus a person? thats a spiritual question. i dont care about the answer. should another person dictate what someone can do with their body? simple answer: no.

do you ever think about how if you dive into the ocean and go deeper and deeper you will pass through layers of darker and darker blue until everything is black and cold and the pressure will be so intense that it will kill you without protection but if you keep going you will find little glowing specks of light, and if you go up into the sky and go higher and higher you will pass through layers of darker and darker blue until everything is black and cold and the pressure will be so intense that it will kill you without protection but if you keep going you will find little glowing specks of light

i hope every single one of you outlives these hateful fucks on the news right now. i hope each and every one of you is able to find joy and support throughout these tumultuous times and i hope you get to live so fiercely as yourself. i hope you wake up one day to news that you’ve outlived those pieces of absolute shit and whether that brings you joy or relief or hope or what have you, i hope you live to see that day

How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.
As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.
He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.
He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.
Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.

"Idiots to lovers" works best when the idiots in question are extremely intelligent

Just chopped my hair into a pixie cut for the first time. Called my sister to ask her what she thought and she said it looks like something my grandma would get…
All the lesbian euphoria and sexiness has fallen away and now I feel like an empty husk. This is catastrophic! devastating! Unfathomable!
And to think I was finally onto something only to find out I look like my homophobic grandmother aged down 30 years? Why it’s absolutely criminal!

"nobody likes a complainer" you say, like an idiot, as if thriving ecosystems of friendships aren't blossoming every day based solely on people vocally disliking the same things in similar ways

After watching the severance finale, I thought to myself: now what the bloody hell was the point of the reintegration plot line because we have not seen it pay off really at all this season.?
And I answered myself: yes. Because that is groundwork, they laid out for the next seasons payoff.
Innie mark is his own person. He is trying to escape his hellish existence in any way he knows how. Part of that is the reason he runs away with Helly R. But Mark S also shares a body and just like how the innies control everything the outties do at work, their bodies do not belong to them and vice versa. Mark S is going to reintegrate whether he wants to or not, while he’s on the run with Helly. And that’s going to bring up a whole world of trouble for him.
Imagine being dehumanized so thoroughly that your consciousness doesn’t even have its own body to exist in? Your memories don’t even have the privacy to be just yours it’s horrifying. And tragic.
At the same time, in separating himself from his work, Mark Scout has effectively dehumanized himself. He has been unwittingly tormenting his wife for the past two years.
Any or out, it doesn’t matter. There is no way to reconcile both of their personhood’s within one body effectively. There is no happily ever after available to either of them. They are doomed. and that is the tragedy. And yet they will still try to fight and to find Hope and love and friendship. Because that’s just what humans do, especially in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

Loving a show is hating the ending while understanding it completely, and thinking it totally makes sense for the character motivations shown thus far, vowing to continue watching but wanting to tear your own eyes out because watching it was the most painful thing you have seen in a very long time on TV
