▐│∶☽∶; —                      тwo ѕмαll ѕpαrrowѕ caught his attention. their petite forms hopped along the dirt path leading out into the trees, a curving trail which lead to a small waterfall and vast variety of plant life. it was one of his favorites to venture when time allowed, and Firefly enjoyed nibbling the fresh, untouched grass.

It took him a second or so to acknowledge the prickling sensation rising on his neck. realization that eyes were upon him, and he tilted his head only enough to meet the eyes of his company. posture stiffened, fingers curled loose against the circumference of the mug in hand. maybe they’d hoped to be alone. he was only taking up space.

                         ❝——sorry.❞

                        ❝… would… you prefer I left?❞

the soldier tiled their head, blinked once, until they curled up a little smile on their face. sometimes it was a nice way to see their comrades. especially when they weren't in the battlefield. 

"not at all", they replied at gunther's question. sometimes they needed their moments to be alone, but a little society wasn't bad at all. "you can stay if you like."

▐│∶☽∶; —                       Dɪsᴀᴘᴘᴏɪɴᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ ʜᴀᴅ ᴘʟᴀʏᴇᴅ his features upon seeing his usual bench occupied. steps slowed, fingers gripping the curve of his mug tightened, and he nearly considered turning back and forgetting the escape all together. but he recognized the figure, and his shoulders sank in a tiny wave of relief.

So he continued the small distance to the bench, sinking onto the far end and adjusting his cloak as posture settled back. they didn’t seem to notice; fine with him. and a curious glance was cast to the book which ensnared their attention. he skimmed the title, nodded internally and shifted his eyes to the courtyard ahead.

The birds were active this morning. a sound, sight, always more than welcomed by the quiet soldier. he remained perfectly static as his gaze skimmed branches and grass, searching for their tiny forms. 

digits trailed over the paper of the book, ready to change the page nanaba just  had done ready, as they grabbed the bookmark to put it into the page they just stopped and closed the book. 

the soldier leaned back, released a sigh and while blue hues visioned the sky. it was pretty calm today, but still enjoying. their gaze motioned the person next to them, lips curled up into a smile as  they recognized their seatmate.

( laceraalas ) birds had been twittering, atmosphere was calm and agreable,  a perfect yet calm day to isolate all the negative events from the last time, yet having a little break from the whole titan disaster-- that was something what the blonde soldier needed. that, and spending their free time with a book erwin had recommended them. 

still, hard but understandable lecture, words and thesaurus they never really read before, but still interesting for them. they read in the outside, sitting on a bench and enjoying the singing of the birds.                                       things would have been perfect for now. their loneliness got interrupted, as someone sat down next to them. however, the soldier didn't react, but was still lost on the book they were reading.

determination. mutuals can like for a starter! however i won’t get them done until i’m home and armed with icons. but as long as i have my break ( and eventually nothing to do at classes) i can work on some !!
