Anon Day - If a chocolatier was to create a specialty chocolate single bite named for you, what flavors would it have?
"I suppose something like pomegranate or red wine. Things I like, things I think are easy enough to associate with me. They are also not always to everyone's tastes, which seems to ring true with myself as well — though, those who do enjoy them tend to like to indulge. I find that fair enough."

How is she holding up physically? What about mentally?
She's doing quite well physically! The starmotes that hit her in the shoulder and thigh went straight through the muscle, and that's a fairly easy healing process. It was pretty sore for about a week, but with rest and light activity that's all but smoothed over. The wound to her larynx was the more complex one. While it's healed up in the sense that it's no longer an open wound to any degree, there is a lot of speech and physical therapy she needs to do to get her vocal chords back to use. It's not a rapid process by any measure.
Mentally she's fine. Pyraelia lost an entire arm, a voice is nothing compared to that. It's never been something she was particularly vain about either, and frankly in this case it does let her listen more than previous when people otherwise would have expected her to carry a conversation. She's very much looking forward to going home and getting back to her business, once she figures out how to do that. That's probably the most pressing issue in all of this, but it's a Future Fiorenze problem more than a Current Fiorenze problem.

Anon Day —
[A letter sent with flourishing, careful, intentional writing. Along with the parcel is a satchel of a floral tea. It appears to be orchid.]
I hope this finds you well. I heard you suffered injury on the front. Please take care and I wish you an uneventful recovery.
Fiorenze turned the letter over and frowned a bit as it had no name or indication of a name attached. Well meant as it was, she had spent most of her life as a noble and understood the merits of being wary of food and beverage sent in a well-meaning manner.
She set the bag of tea aside and decided to wait for Keranna to come home; ultimately she could assume what direction the older noble would lean when asked 'what to do with this', but at least for now leaving it be seemed fairly harmless.

[Anon Day] With her recovery underway, what does she plan on doing to pass the time? How has being so badly injured affected her as a person?
She's doing a lot of sleeping, a not insignificant amount of reading, plenty of practicing her hand signing with Keranna and other meet-up groups for that sort of language learning, and writing letters when the mood strikes.
I wouldn't say it's affected her as a person terribly much. Injuries happen. Being without a voice has been frustrating at times, but it also really hasn't been terrible to adjust to. She's learning a new language out of the situation and will have that forever, even if she does wind up getting some semblance of her voice back with all the physical and speech therapy work she's doing.
Thanks anon!

What would she do if she were not asked back on to the crew? Would she look for another to join?
I mean, I think she'd be really bummed first of all. She thinks she's done a pretty good job with the crew and seems to able to hold her own fairly well among the other magic users.
She'd absolutely look for another crew to join in short order, and would probably take Tinnaire with her if Tinn was still amenable to that. It's been a while since they talked about that prospect, but it was on the table at one point. Fiorenze enjoys the mercenary work too much. Plus it pays the bills better than anything else she has going on. Hard to not continue in the field when that's the case!

A short letter
A small, emerald envelope makes its way to Dicenne through courier and camp mail. The stationary is elegant in style and weight, and the thalassian handwritten script more-so.
“Dear Dicenne Dice,
It was good to see you over the weekend, I hope you were able to get some rest before returning to K'aresh, though I know the adage ‘no rest for the weary’ does exist for experienced reason. You have always been a fair friend to me in matters of support, personal growth and accountability. I hope you do not mind me writing to you in my attempt to find some sort of stability in navigating my current reality.
Nothing done exceptionally is done quickly, frustrating as that can be at times. My initial appointments have gone as well as they could have; I won’t bore you with the details, but I do, at least, possess a treatment plan. Theoretically I should be able to get most, if not all, of my voice back eventually if I stick to it — even if it may not be exactly the same as it was. I think I would like to continue to learn how to hand sign, regardless of the end result.
Keranna was kind enough to ferry me along on one of her visits to her estate yesterday so that I could spend time in the community garden she’s asked me to assist her in establishing. It is still fairly early on in concept, but it was encouraging to see how people are already interacting with the place. Being there was healing in its own way; spiritually, but perhaps physically too. There’s merit in activity, but you probably know this already. If you ever have the time or interest, I wouldn’t mind giving you a tour of it, though it is a bit out of your way. Sometimes the journey makes the fruit all the sweeter. I suppose that’s a bit cliché, but the blackberries are a revelation.
Hopefully things do not linger on too long in the bittersweet corner of space our attention and efforts were drawn to. My thoughts have been on the Eco-Dome Oasis from time to time, and the lessons of hope through hard work and cultivation that can be gleaned from it. Tinnaire will likely catch me up on many things when you all return; your perspective would be interesting, too, if you feel like sharing after you have had some time and distance from the place.
Asking you to stay safe out there seems an odd request considering the harsh and violent nature of the situation. I do, however, mean it sincerely. And please do not feel pressured to respond back. That seems a lot to ask for or expect considering the situ everything.
Your friend, Fiorenze" <<Included are a few little post-card sized plein air charcoal and pencil sketches of the community garden. They’re really quite good.>>
He wasn’t expecting any letters, especially not out in K’aresh. Even his sister didn’t attempt to send mail there, assuming it would probably get lost along the way (and many probably already had). But today a few letters and packages trickled into the camp from families and loved ones the mercenary crew left behind on Azeroth. They all shared treats from back home and any thrilling happenings from their home world. After the incident from a week ago, it was needed.
The letter was a nice surprise, and Dice was happy to hear that Fio was hanging in there and healing. He considered responding, but they already had plans to go home at the end of the week unless something else were to go incredibly wrong. There was not much left for them to do, all they could do was speculate on the rumors and what may come next. But at least they would be home soon.
