AMERICAN  GODS  SENTENCE  STARTERS        ✧       SELECTIVELY  ACCEPTING  .

❝        20  YEARS  ,       I  SAT    &    WAITED  .       i  was  very    dedicated  .       every  morning  ,      i  would  wake  up  ,       &    add  a    tally  mark    on  the  wall  .       i  was    locked  up    in  that  tower  for    8,423  days  ,       barbie  .       waiting    &    waiting    &    waiting  .       saying    affirmations  ,       begging  a  higher  power  to    save  me    &    let    love    come  to  me  .       i  –       i  waited    so  long  .        ❞     

melodious  voice  is    choked    within  a  chartreuse  throat  ,       tears    slipping  over  full  cheeks    &    staining  soft  features  .       such  a    deep    conversation  had  not  been  had  with  many  people  --       usually  reserved  for  nights  where  her    husband    would  wake  her  ,       soothing    &    coaxing  her  down  from  a    nightmare  .       but  this  was    important  .       there  was  a  want  to    help  ,       to    explain  .       nobody  should  ever  feel  as  if  they  weren’t  worthy  of    love       (  &    after  being    cursed    with  such  a  thing  for  so  long  ,       she  was    determined    to  not  let  anybody  else    suffer  )  .
