"B-but Palestinians can get their freedom with peace not violence 🥺🥺" no. Screw your feelings. The armed resistance against colonizers and murderers is what will give Palestinians their freedom and what will eventually achieve real peace.

An enemy that bombs and uses white phosphorus against civilians doesn't know nor practice what your broken moral compass describes as "peace". Freedom was proven throughout history not to be achieved through kneeling and asking the oppressor to kindly stop. Freedom needs to be taken by force. Your little Utopian way of thinking doesn't work in the real world. Your feelings don't matter because you're not the one living under occupation. Your feelings don't matter because you're not one of the thousands of children who lost their limbs. You're not one of the children who became orphans due to this genocide. You're not the mother who lost her child to the carpet bombing. You're not the father carrying the remains of your child in plastic bags. You're not the newlywed woman who lost her husband. You're not the one at risk of either getting killed any second or losing your loved ones in the blink of an eye!

"Peace" is not really a thing you see during a live ethnic cleansing!

still absolutely cannot wrap my head around how ppl are not condemning the iof and calling for a permanent ceasefire even after the news broke out about hind. she was six years old. trapped inside a bombed car where five of her relatives are martyred. iof tanks laid siege on a six year old girl calling her mom for help. because she was scared and alone and starving. iof waited until the paramedics came to save hind and killed them all. remember hind. remember yousef. remember ahmed. death to israel. ceasefire now.

I've seen a lot of bad faith critiques of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Genuinely, how do you expect a show to demonstrate internal monologues in a 3rd person narrative. You show it through dialogue, and suddenly, there's "too much talking." You dont show it enough, and "the kids are way too smart and jumping to conclusions without any reason." Im not saying these aren't valid criticisms by any means, but some people clearly wanted to hate this show before it even came out.

Also if you regularly work with kids/teens I cannot stress how important it is that you know someone who's like really into lame emo junk. There was a girl my dad was working with who just flat out refused to talk to adults or anyone at all and one day I was there and I saw her wearing a homemade bracelet that had beads that said YLDNDAHFHHACYCSYCDAYDKK and since I was also once a 14 year old making niche homemade mcr merch I was like "oh my god you like dnd Audrey Hepburn Fangoria Harry Houdini and croquet you cant swim you can't dance and you dont know karate!!!" and she looked at me like I'd said literal magic words and now we talk about music all the time

This is so incredibly important. Religious Jews who keep Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath) can’t use electronics (among other things) from sundown on Friday until nightfall on Saturday. As someone who used to keep Shabbat, it was so hard to participate in so many things. Simple things like electronic hotel door locks — or, in this case, RFID wristbands, can mean an event isn’t accessible to those who keep Shabbat. So, even though I’m not at VidCon myself (I’ve never been and I’m on the opposite side of the country!) and I don’t keep Shabbat anymore, I’m incredibly grateful and moved that they did this. This isn’t just a kind staffer waiving a rule for an individual, this is a convention-wide policy and system that allows observant Jews full participation in the con. This is what inclusion looks like. This is what welcoming diversity looks like. This is what making sure your space welcomes Jewish people looks like. Thank you thank you thank you.
