Since one old man doesn’t know how to use Instagram and is now on an Instagram ban I may as well officially announce it and stop the many rumours and stop the speculation that is going around. (He is helping me write this but he is banned from instagram for the foreseeable future).

Sebastian and I are dating and have been for several years now. Only close family members really knew about it and that’s what the two of us ultimately decided. We wanted to be able to separate our private lives with our racing so decided to keep this relationship to ourselves. Something for just the two of us to enjoy. We never wanted the media or other people to use our relationship against us when racing both in the same team and against one another. It was bad enough when nobody knew we were dating so we could only imagine what it would be like if people knew and therefore we kept it a secret. From everyone.

I’m sorry to our friends whom we have hid this from and ultimately kept apart of ourselves away from you. I’m sorry that we lied to you for those years and for the extravagant excuses that we had come up with (mainly me) since we couldn’t tell you the truth. I’m sorry that we have left you out of some of our most precious moments and memories however we will make sure that you are involved in our future ones.

This doesn’t change anything about us and never has. It’s never affected our racing and never will just like nobody else’s relationships affect their racing abilities. This shouldn’t change anything at all as we are still the same people but if you are homophobic (and therefore probably old fashioned and don’t think there should be gay drivers, or female for that matter) go and watch some other racing series with some other drivers. We don’t need your hatred here.

Anyway, now Sebastian has outed this relationship he is able to come to every race now without it being suspicious. He can officially become a WAG or HAB. (The best one too)

Two Omegas and A Significant Other Kind Of Love

Summary: Lando and Charles. Two Omegas. Two Omegas who are married. Secretly of course as there would be a uproar if they ever came out however Charles wants to. Charles wants to kiss his husband whenever he wants, hold hands out in the street. He wants that all but it's just Lando that he has to convince.

What For? This was written for @racingorange for the @f1-fic-secret-santa collection on A03…

Actual Part of Story:

Love. Love can be described as an intense feeling of deep affection for somebody or something. It can be one of the most incredible things and feelings in the world when you manage to find it with the right person however, at the same time it can be one of the worst and most painful if you give your love to the wrong person. Love can come in different forms and you have different types of love too depending on who the other person is to you. You have the love that you give to close family members. The love that you give to friends (although this can vary and some friends could probably be classed under the love that you give to family members). Then you have the love that you give to a significant other. The last kind of love is the kind of love that most people dream of. It’s the kind of love that Lando never thought that he would have. It’s the kind of love that he had now got. Love is a spectrum and people in your life will be spread up and down that line/spectrum however not a lot of people get to put someone right at the top of that line as that is someone that you will love unconditionally. Your soulmate. Not everyone finds that especially so young yet here Lando was with his soulmate.

Love should be an amazing thing that can happily be shared with other loved ones in your life and overall just be shared with the world or be allowed out together and hold hands without horrible repercussions. It shouldn’t matter who you love, however, because of some people whose opinions shouldn’t matter, it does. That’s why Lando never thought that he would get or find the ‘significant other’ kind of love and that’s just because he’s a little bit ‘different’ to the so-called ‘normal’ people. Love between men doesn’t matter. Love between women doesn’t matter. Love between trans and non-binary people doesn’t matter. Truthfully, nobody really cares about your primary gender and therefore in that aspect it’s fine to date anyone that you want with zero hate or opinions as all anybody seems to care about is the secondary gender (alpha, beta or omega). Due to specific laws, all 3 secondary genders should be treated the same and not discriminated against however there are some stubborn old people who still look down on omegas and betas for that matter and demand that they stick to the traditional gender roles. That’s not the main problem for Lando though. The problem comes when talking about which secondary genders can or more like should date which secondary genders. For example, worldwide it’s alright for alphas to court and date omegas- well actually that is expected and beta’s dating other betas, alphas or omegas is also allowed but not preferable (more precisely betas dating alphas or omegas is not preferable) however omegas dating other omegas or alphas dating other alphas is often frowned upon. Legally they can happily date one another or even get married and adopt children however a lot of people in society frown upon this happening and therefore they are often shunned from the world so most people end up hiding that part of them. It’s safer that way.

People should just be allowed to love who they want and be able to be with them in public. That is in a perfect world though and unfortunately the world does not work that way.

charles_leclerc 4 years ago today I finally got the courage to ask you to be my boyfriend. We had been on several dates before and neither of us knew what we were. All we needed was a little push and once we had that I could officially call you my boyfriend. My caring, adoring and loving boyfriend.

Spending all day with your and just you was amazing and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend it and I hope our 4 year anniversary date was up to your expectations.

Honestly Lando, there are not enough words in the English language (even with my knowledge) to describe how much you mean to me and you do not know enough French for me to even try and attempt that. I’ll give it a go in English… Not long after we started dating the whole Anthoine thing happened and you stuck by me and was the one to get me back in the car the following day. Every year on the anniversary of one of their deaths you always make sure you are with me no matter what and I really do appreciate it. When you crashed in 2021 in spa I remember my heart stopping when my team told me that you had crashed and I didn’t calm down until I saw you once again and in that moment I knew that you were the only person in the world for me. You are the person who never fails to make me smile and laugh and the person I always myself searching for. If I make a joke I look around for you to see if you’re laughing or smiling because I know I can always count on you. When I win all I care about is you and seeing if you are proud of me. The moments that we are on the podium together are my favourite.

Lando Norris. I love you more than anybody can comprehend. I have loved you for 4 years and I will love you for many more. For as long as you let me love you for. ❤️

Thank you for these past 4 years, they’ve been amazing. In 2019 I thought that driving that McLaren car would be the best thing that could’ve happened but a couple months or so into the season I was apparently proved wrong. I was just this shy, nervous-wreak who looked about 12 and you were... well you were you and I never thought that you would ever like me like that. All of our outings before you officially asked me out I thought were just you being friendly before Carlos actually knocked some sense into me. I don't know why you stuck around when I was doing that awkward flirting and the terrible joke but I'm actually glad you did. You will never be able to understand how much you mean to me and how much you have actually helped me out. When I get stuck in my own head and don’t want to let anyone in you’re the one person who manages to do so and help me out. You're honestly just amazing and probably the only person who can properly put up with my shit... I now feel sick after writing all of this. 🤢

Genuinely curious what logic people have to claim that what mclaren did to Daniel is worse than what has just happened to nyck. Let me lay these events out for you.

Daniel got a contract buyout, that couldn’t have happened unless he agreed to it. He got a say in his departure and a rumoured 18 million. He’d done two years in that car and all but one race was shockingly mediocre for a driver of his experience level. They signed oscar before the summer break, they could’ve replaced him mid season. They didn’t. Daniel got to announce his own departure, f1 made posts about it, people were sad and outraged to see him go. Mclaren waited weeks to announce Oscar as his replacement despite already signing him. Daniel got his time before he was replaced by a younger, more exciting talent who would cost far less and get potentially better results.

Let’s look at Nyck. He’s done a grand total of 11 races, 10 in the alphatauri that his teammate has only hauled into the points twice. We get no actual announcement that he is leaving, only one that he is replaced by a much older driver before even the summer break. No one acknowledges his departure, they’re too excited for daniel to come in. Reports say neither Nyck or his family knew of the announcement, he was totally blindsided. And I’m sorry to say this, but if Daniel was any other driver with his results from the past two years no team would take a second look at him.

I’m not here to tell you all to forget about daniel and mclaren and that it was all fine, it was handled poorly and they should have put an exit clause in the contract for that exact scenario. However, don’t claim red bull have treated nyck better. Red bull demoted drivers from the top team yes, they don’t usually drop alpha drivers mid season. They’ve screwed nyck over and no one will even give him the basic respect of a ‘nyck de vries to leave alpha tauri’ post.

I have this headcanon where lewis and charles are friends and Lewis visits charles and goes into his wardrobe and finds out he has many fashionable clothes but was either too shy to wear them to the paddock or was afraid of being accused of copying lewis, but lewis convinces charles of wearing them to the paddock. And they come in on race day both looking fabulous maybe they are matching or they simply came together.

charles_leclerc I wanted this to be a cute little reveal but then you called me a stalker so the cute reveal went out the window. Here you guys go anyway, me and maxverstappen1 are dating and have been for several years now. We hid it not knowing what the reaction would be and partly scared we would lose our seats in F1 which has been both of our dreams since we were young boys. Eventually I gained the courage and came out as gay to the world and said that I was also dating someone and the support I got was unimaginable. Yes obviously there was some hate but most of it was supportive and just overall kind.

After a long discussion we no longer wanted to hide this relationship from everyone and why should we? Other people in the paddock don’t have to do why should we? Yes a Ferrari driver is in love with a Red Bull driver and if you don’t support it then don’t support me (or him). It’s our life to live and everybody else has has to just real with it. I will still fight on the track to win the championship and under no circumstances will I just let Max win. We are both professionals and both too stubborn to actually let the other win. We’ve been together for several years and have had several battles on track (just without you guys knowing about the relationship) and it never stopped us then so it won’t stop us now so nobody has to worry about any of that.

The Letters That Will Never Be Delivered

The FIA never learn. They should’ve learnt after 2014 but apparently not and because of this another life may be claimed in the exact same place and with similar circumstances too. To help the drivers deal with it some of them write letters hoping that when Charles’ wakes up that he’ll be able to read them. Hopefully he doesn’t have the same fate as his godfather… or his friend.

Basically, Charles crashes in Japan the same way Jules did just 8 years later and he’s in hospital and nobody knows whether or no he’s going to survive. To help deal with emotions letters are written.

Also, let me know who you want to see letters from.

Following our dreams in Formula One together. It’s been a bumpy ride and we’ve lost people along the way but you’ve always stuck with me and we got through them together. Lights out - Bar AU

Daniel has always loved car racing even as a young boy. He remembers sitting in front of the TV with his father watching the races for hours. Getting a kart and becoming a member of the karting club at the age of 9 was one of the best days of his life. From that day onwards he was on track to becoming a driver in Formula One. He was smashing it, doing really well and even moved to Europe away from his family hoping to further his career. It hurt being halfway across the world from his family. Often he felt homesick but he reminded himself that it was for a good cause. He's following his dreams.

Unfortunately for Daniel, there was one thing that he didn't count on.

In a blink of an eye, all his dreams were crushed and he had to come up with a different plan.
