“You got to understand, a lot of people, they ask us questions and that’s where it’s kind of hard to do an interview because we’re like, ‘You don’t understand. It’s Mallory.’ Even after a game, she’ll come back and you’ll ask her about (certain plays) and she’s like, ‘Oh, I don’t remember doing that.’ It’s not standoffish. Her thing is, ‘I don’t understand what the big deal is. I like to play soccer. I’m halfway decent at it.’ She never likes to say she’s good at it. When she gets back from these trips, she checks out. She’s working out and stuff like that, but it’s weird because she’s also so goal-oriented. It’s big to us and everybody else. But to her it’s just — Mal has never been one who has been starstruck. Although, Justin Bieber. And Messi and Neymar.”

EURO 2016: Cristiano leaves the final in tears after 24 minutes | July 10, 2016
Cristiano Ronaldo was left in tears as his European Championship final ended after just 24 minutes. The Portugal winger had to be replaced following a collision with France’s Dimitri Payet early in the match. Ronaldo received initial treatment on his knee and tried to battle on through the pain to complete the match. But after five minutes, he fell to the ground in tears as he realised that his dream of leading Portugal to Euros glory was over. However, Ronaldo was not substituted and returned to the action with supportive bandaging around his leg. But despite the medical team’s best efforts, it was not enough to prevent the pain and he slammed down his armband as he referee Mark Clattenburg called for a stretcher. The Real Madrid winger held his head in his hands as he was carried off the Stade de France pitch.
