Pros and Cons of the Holiday Banner

Pros:

1. Lissa actually looks really cute and not oversexualized.

2. The weapon name “Tannenboom” is objectively the best weapon name in the series.

Cons:

1. “Normal Girl” Tharja

2. Yet again, the special banner is only Fateswakening characters

3. Of the Fateswakening characters, they chose The Blandest Lord in the Series, Self Insert Gary Stu #1, Little Sister Archetype #25, and Evil Incarnate.

4. The fact that this happens every fucking time there’s a themed banner (minus the Brides one, which is the only one I DIDN’T want any non-Fateswakening characters in) and I’m not even surprised anymore, just disappointed.

Honestly of all the questionable decisions FE creators have ever made, Tharja’s existence has to be the worst because now that she exists, she is never ever going to go away.

Prompt Submissions Open!

We’re going to the the prompts in a bit of a unique way. Each day will be matched with one country from the Tellius universe. This country can be used as a prompt in of itself, but it will also be related to the other prompts. So, for example, for the day that is matched with Gallia might also have the prompt, “Strength,” or the day matched with Serenes Forest might have the prompt, “Peace.” 

Our goal with this is to highlight the awesome setting of the Tellius games and give you a lot of choices with prompts! You can choose to write/draw/create something related to or set in the country or you can just choose one of the other prompts as inspiration, so don’t worry if you don’t know much about the countries! (Also, AUs are totally cool too, the works don’t actually have to be set in the countries or anything)

What we need from you is suggestions for the non-country prompts. These could be any words, phrases, or themes that you feel would work well as prompts for fanworks. 

You can send in as many prompt suggestions as you want to our inbox between now and December 9th; if you’re not on anon, we’ll reply to let you know we got the prompts, but we won’t post them to keep it a surprise. The mods will then choose from the suggested prompts and post the final prompt list on December 10th, which will give everyone about a week to start thinking about what they might like to do.

Just for reference, Soleil, Niles, and Rhajat are far from the first bisexual characters. Though based off your avatar, you probably know that already.

Oh yeah for sure! I know they’re not the first, they’re just the ones who I see held up as The Canon Bisexuals, partially because a lot of people have only played the 3DS games and partially because people think that just because a character can’t get married to both a man and woman, it means that they’re not “canonically bisexual.” Even though I personally have read quite a lot of characters as LGBTQ+ and it seems pretty clear to me as a queer fan.

Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that I’m frustrated when I see people lauding those three as amazing representation for bi folks when they’re really not great representation at all, especially when I think about how their sexuality is presented in contrast with how other folks sexuality is treated (like Legault, my favorite bi character).

It’s not that I hate them or even dislike them as characters, but Niles, Rhajat, and Soleil are all terrible examples of bisexual representation and tbh we bisexual fans deserve better.

IntSys on FE Heroes Fanservice

3DS Games: Here, have not one, but two versions of Camilla and Lucina! In the second version, they’re wearing cute spring bunny outfits, and Camilla’s is somehow even more revealing than her original design, because pleasing the male gaze is our top priority! Also, we hope you enjoy the fact that 45% of the recruitable characters and 80% of the Voting Gauntlet champions are from Fates and Awakening! Balance? What’s that?

Other Games: Yes, we are indeed “servicing the fans” of the older games. Why, we even acknowledged that Tellius exists with one (1) recruitable character, not to mention the two (2) from Magvel and a whopping six (6) from Jugdral! Plus, Ike is most definitely going to be in the game…someday…
