I'm gonna put it plainly - the minimum amount we need in order to keep our apartment ($1800, by 11/26), get my repossessed car back ($1300, by 11/25), and finish the down payment on Kit's car (that she's had for two days) ($700, by 11/17) is $3800.

I'm setting our goal at $4000, just so we have a little wiggle room for gas, food, basic staying alive things, you know? Also in case I can't do math.

(I will be adding the amount from our paychecks to the "so far" count when we get paid this week)

UPDATE: I have added the amount from both of our paychecks today to the "so far" amount ($1,126.51 total between both of our checks on 11/13), and updated the estimate to get my car back, as well as when that payment is due.

UPDATE 2: we have paid the rest of the down payment for Kit's car! and we'll be able to pay rent on time with the paychecks we get between now and the end of the month! however... I'm going to be ~$300 short for getting my car back even after my next paycheck, so I'm setting a new, much smaller goal with that being the only thing we're aiming for!

UPDATE 3: hi again hello! My car has to be paid for BY 11/21, this Thursday! I’m still only gonna be $300 short, and if you send more than $10 and reach out to me through Tumblr messages, I I will happily take a short fic prompt! If you send more than $100 and want me to make you a small crochet blanket, do the same with a color scheme in mind!

We are at an emergency clinic for Pirate because he licked and bit at his paw so much he has an open wound. We have enough to cover the immediate exam fee, but anything else that comes up we CANNOT currently pay for. Remember when I was so excited that the state was finally paying me? Yeah, that was a premature celebration. My employer has decided to take over paying my weekly short term disability payment, so I'm getting less than half what the state got to pay me for two (2) weeks. It means I got comfortable and stepped back from Dashing (which is getting harder to do as my condition gets worse) and now we're almost $1k short for June rent.

We have until the 30th to pay for rent this month (plus a $200 late fee) or we will be evicted.

I hate that I have to keep asking for help, especially with everything else going on in the world, but keeping our home is so important. I'm hoping I will feel better tomorrow and next week and be able to make some money, but because that's not a guarantee, I'm gonna keep being anxious over here and crossing my fingers that my employer will extend my medical leave without having to jump through a million more hoops.
