I was talking to my mom the other day, and she said she was going to start going to the gym, because its important care for your body. I’m disabled w/ multiple chronic illnesses, so going to the gym is impossible for me. She seemed to realize this, and started to backtrack, saying like - its part of taking care of herself, and I interrupted and said, “Its okay mom. You and I taking care of ourselves look very different”. And thats what I would like you to know.
Taking care of yourself looks different.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like fruit smoothies and gym visits, cutting out sugar and weight training.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like hospital visits, feeding tubes and ports. Needles and tests.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like taking medication and lying down in a cool dark room.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like getting any calories in their body that they can.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like adding in more vegetables and trying to go outside to get sun more often.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like seeing a therapist, keeping symptom journals, and practicing mindfulness, meds, or grounding techniques.
We all have different needs. Please don’t feel bad about how you care for yourself just because someone else is able to do “more”, or their care is more performative or obvious. Please don’t look down on someone for caring for themselves in a way that you do not. Medication and rest are just as important as exercise and vegetables.
Keep doing your best to care for yourself, the best way you know how. Your self care and health is important, no matter what it looks like.

Okay I am going to try to put this into some kind of coherent thought. In no particular order.
1. Ruby, Conrad's world was NOT "kind of nice." What the fuck. Disabled people stuck in this weird, outcast, half-remembered life, and trans people literally did not exist. (Buck wild choice there, RTD like that cut me to the core and we just glossed over it.)
2. WHY DID WE GET NO WARNING THAT NCUTI GATWA WOULD BE REGENERATING.
3. Billie Piper. What the FUCK are you doing girl. Why are you here.
4. What the hell was up with Belinda's character arc.
Guys. Look. I know I'm probably clowning but they can't be finished yet. This cannot, CANNOT be how the story ends.
They haven't fixed the 'mavity' thing. Rogue is still out there. The Doctor's wish at the end, 'I wish that she was exactly like you.' There's just. No way. That this is how it ends. Billie Piper was introduced, but not as 'The Doctor.'
What I'm saying is, the Doctor straight up lost the reality war and reality has shattered.
Whatever we're in for, I do hope that, at some point, after they FIX THIS MESS, they bring Ncuti Gatwa back.
They better fix this.

I am so upset that Ncuti Gatwa is no longer the doctor. So upset.
anyone else, regardless of the billie piper of it all, really fucking upset that ncuti gatwa isn't the doctor anymore
he was SUCH a good one. SO good. we had nowhere NEAR enough time with him with two short ass series.

I think this episode will go down as one of the most “Doctor Who is a show you can watch” episodes ever.

okay. i need people to understand the main issue here. ncuti gatwa is the first (full time) black doctor. his entrance was overshadowed by david tennant. his entire run has been the least watched run, many of you admit you did not watch his era. now, after only 16 episodes and a few specials he has regenerated and all people are talking about is billie piper. do you really not see the issue at all? and don't even get me started on what they did to belinda! i'm so BOGGLED by the amount of disrespect thrown at fifteen. he barely got to BE HIS OWN CHARACTER. we barely know him and he's gone. unreal.
