thinkin abt the way less sad au and ken coming home snd visiting his aunt sandra and uncle carl and everything seems normal until ben arrives with what could honestly be his emo clone and no one thinks this is strange so albedo basically gets introduced to ken as his unofficial new cousin who's literally older then everyone in the room and also not actually a clone and ken is like. epic, new cousin, because he's so used to weird things like this. sometimes you get a new cousin who's your cousin's literal evil twin. Ken should have become a Plumber after "Max Out". He's kidnapped and turned into a DNAlien, used as bait, rescued by his little sister, her boyfriend, and his cousin, and watches his Grandpa (seemingly) sacrifice himself for the safety of others. It would have been cool if he was the Batman or Green Arrow of the Ben 10 franchise - no powers, but still a hero. And it would have been better than just forgetting he existed.

Have him in a cameo where he's the person to welcome the Vreedles to the Plumber Academy maybe? Maybe have him have a history at the Academy with Rook? Friends? Rivals? Both? Have an episode in Omniverse where Ken comes home and Rook spends all his time with him, leaving Ben jealous? The possibilities are endless.

Okay so I share the same headcanon (although it’s…really less headcanon and more heavily- implied canon) as @kariachi where Gwen’s brother Ken is the neglected family Unfavorite in UA and AF. I also share the fandom’s collective ire over the Tennyson family’s complete refusal to communicate about anything for any reason in that universe.

This has led to the birth of my Anodite Ken AU, wherein Ken is a late bloomer who hid his magical talents from his family (assuming they wouldn’t understand/freak out) and secretly learned sorcery, eventually discovering aliens- and his apparent alien ancestry- shortly after leaving the house. He, of course, assumes that no one else in his immediate family knows anything about any of this (bc otherwise he totally would have been told, right? Right?)

Anyway worlds collide when Ken and his psychic medium bf bump into Gwen (and Ben and Kevin, who she dragged along) at a marketplace of magical and occult items.

Actually you know what it would be absolutely hilarious if Gwen’s brother, this guy with no speciality, power or gimmick got with Charmcaster and she genuinely enjoys being around this completely normal guy. At first she expected the brother of Gwen to be powerful entity in some way but nope he’s completely normal and it confuses her so much. Every time Gwen is expecting her to do something evil to him but it never happens

Okay so you guys know that post where the guy wanted to mess with his family so he had Christmas cards made with a few random people and sent them as though they were his wife and kid(s?)

That with Ken.

He had to bribe Albedo (who was still figuring out a workaround for being physically 10 years old) with a months worth of chili fries AND a ride to somewhat shady place but it was worth.

Charmcaster was on board as soon as she heard ”mess with Natalie.”

It was the most amount of phone calls he’d gotten from his family in YEARS.

“Wait- is that my laptop?” Ken skidded to a halt, stepping backwards back into the kitchen to where the smug albino stood, arms crossed.

“Yes. I had some time on my hands and-” Shrugging, Albedo feigned a nonchalant air as he gestured lightly to the fully functioning device. “Well I decided i could use a bit of a warm up before starting my actual work today.’

“Wasn’t this in, like, several hundred pieces this morning?” Disbelief mingled with shock as processed that he may not have to plead mercy with his professor. Blinking, he leaned closer to the screen, reading the document before it, brow raising at the slight changes to his work.

“Again, a warm up.” Albedo said dismissively. “It was a trivial repair.”

“Dude- did you edit my thesis?”

“Technically I reviewed it- but yes. Again- a simple warm up for me, but I corrected some of your more trivial errors.” Allbedo said, carefully gauging his reaction. “Though, there is still an untouched version if you’d prefer.”

Ken just gaped, eyes flicking back and forth along to the screen.

Gwen's brother Ken lives on his own after a particularly bad falling out with Natalie. He finally decided to move out to avoid the constant pressure Natalie puts on him. He lived with Max in the rustbucket before he managed to make enough money to get a cheap apartment. He attended community college and has worked several odd jobs including bulldoze mechanic, delivery boy, handyman, actual plumber funny enough. It's kind of made him a pretty competent in certain skills but not a master of it.
