He also acted a lot like in Justice League Action in a few of the older Justice League of America issues. like the league is like "Oh yeah he's 15 thats fine he has an adult with him." Then that one issue happened when Killer Frost froze New York and the two unfused and the league is like "OH YEAH THATS A CHILD-" its very funny to me.
it was 100% a coping mechanism.
I forgot to bring up new 52 XD Yeah you right!
Yes- Floating Head Canons-
Firestorm Fighting Styles
I have a bit of a head canon for how each of the people who have been Firestorm fight. Because they are all different people with different pasts and NONE of the are professionally trained.
So they had to make things up on their own or on the fly.
For our classic duo of Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein; Ronnie is in charge and Marin is giving advice + Chemical Knowledge. For the fact the Ronnie (When he was younger) was a ball of literal sun shine, I imagine he doesn't touch the ground often, choosing to stay floating almost at all cost, it's VERY rare he would choose to be on the ground. That or he was just thrown and needs a minute. Fighting wise, I imagine he would stick with his Atomic powers because making stuff out of other stuff is super cool! He can use his football and basket ball knowledge to help, but most of the time it's those nuclear powers that are being used.
For Ronnie and Mikhail with the Firestorm personality being separate from them, I think he's a lot more influenced by those around him. If people are standing, he will stand next to them, but if people are flying, he will fly too. Fighting wise, I think this one is very much a wild card. again, doing what those around him are doing, but also filling in what he deems as missing. Like he's fighting along side a bunch of casters? He'll take tbe attention as the physical person.
Elemental Firestorm? No ground. FIRE ONLY
Elemental Stein? NO GROUND! FIRE!! And some nuclear powers when need be.
Human Stein? I imagine one of those old films from the 30s where the character is like "AYY PUT EM THERE!" and they got their fists up almost in front of their faces (See "Angles with dirty faces" 1939 for example)
Ronnie alone; A lot like when he had the professor, but now he knows what he's doing, and probably doesn't use any physical abilities, because why punch a dude if you can just drop a train on them? He was a fully experienced Firestorm at this point, no need for real fire and he was already considered to be one of the JL's heavy hitters, he just got better with age. (He's still a kid though, like 19, and he 100% still need that adult supervision (Looks at Captain Atom) But hey! He's getting there!)
(I'm trying to do these in order)
After Ronnie's death, JASON! :D - So he just kinda got these powers, and had to figure them out alone + a random person! I imagine he flys less and uses more Nuclear / Fire blasts and messes with the atomic structure of things MUCH less. He still does, but not as much as Ronnie. He probably knows how to defend himself with his fists he best, so I imagine he would rely on those the most, at least at the beginning. When more people join in (Fire Hawk, Mikhail, Martin and others) He figures things out much better, but still.
And lastly, Ronnie and Jason. Now Ronnie was revived in the WORST way posable so his head is a bit scrambled or something, but if skin tone didn't give it away then their fighting styles 100% did, the League has noticed this. Waiting for Firestorm at a meeting, they know he's coming and they hear footsteps, its Jason, if Firestorm flys through a wall and sits down, it's Ronnie.
Anyways, yeah, thats my little head canon about fighting styles with Firestorm.

I have 91 Issues of Firestorm and or Brightest Day comics (Mostly Firestorm, but there are like a few Brightest Days in there)
Give me a random number, and I will find a random panel from said number's issue!
The comics are not in order, and I have a few duplicates! I plan to put them in order later when I have better storage for them.

I don't remember it being our right said so correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember him in high school when he got the powers then when Ronnie came back he was in College, So I've been thinking 17-19 age range.
Firestorm Head Canons (Ages)
I have a few fun head canons. Side note, when I think about head canon's for older media I feel like I should talk about them, because they are old and feel untouchable.
BUT ANYWAYS-
I have the head canon that Ronnie Raymond is the same age as Jason Todd.
Like, Jason would be like "Can I join the Justice League?" and Bruce would be like "No, your too young." and Jason would just be like "RONNIE AND I ARE THE SAME AGE-"
It could have good funnies. It would be even funnier if Ronnie was like a few months younger-
But also, Firestorm joined the Justice League when Ronnie is 15, and Jason gets killed when he is 15, so they are only around each other for a short period of time! THEN! When Jason finally comes back to everyone and stuff when he's 19, he and Ronnie are only around for another short time- BEFORE RONNIE DIES-
The next time they meet, they are like "Who's it gonna be this time? haha- sobs."
I have another head canon that Jason Rusch is the same age as Tim Drake. (If Tim was allowed to be older than 17 or Jason Rusch is like a year older.)
Anyways- Jason Rusch gets the Firestorm matrix at like 17, then runs around as Firestorm for a year or so then Ronnie comes back!
And because Ronnie looks the exact same as he did when he died, he and Jason Rusch are somewhat the same age now, and Ronnie is now younger than Jason Todd. (Which he will meme on him for.)
Anyways- Martin is said to be in his early 40s (I think 43 if I remember correctly) Which means he's like 47 when Ronnie is killed- WHY THEY GOTTA DRAW HIM SO OLD!? Why they gotta do my boy Martin so dirty!? BRUCE IS AROUND THAT AGE! WHYYY!!
I think Martin got all that gray dealing with a 15 year old super hero whos powers deal with Chemistry. Ronnie.
But yeah, those are just my fun little age head canons. Theres not much interaction between these characters, and I just like the idea that thats whats been going on when we don't see stuff in the comics. Idk I think its fun.

Understandable. Back before he was a Fire Elemental (Idk about now that he is) Killer Frost tried to crush him under a block of Ice. He couldn't get out because of the cold and he could lower his density as well. It almost killed them.
I think Firestorm and Killer Frost, as a team, should NEVER team up in cold areas or during winter.
Why?
THEY ARE BOTH WEAK TO THE COLD!
Whoever teams them up in a cold area is just ASKING for problems! And Batman wasn't apart of this meeting! Because like, "Oh they are fire and ice, they can cover each other-" NO- THEY REALLY CANT!
I love that duo! But only problems can happen that way!

In one of the older comics when Killer Frost showed up, she tried to crush him under a big block of ice. He couldn't get out at all, and they were almost killed!
It's something I wish modern comics would being back.
This is also kinda from the era where he wasn't a Fire Elemental, that fire on his head is all for show.
