Paintings by Eric Lacombe
Eric Lacombe (born 1968 in Lyon, France) is a graphic designer, digital artist and self-taught painter. He mainly focuses on depicting the mangled faces of both typical people and fictitious humanlike beings. The cognitive prospects of these portrayals echo the divergent emotions of human beings, experienced when facing the boundaries existing between waking life and Hamlet’s sleep. Lacombe utilizes acrylics, paper, oil, pens, glue and other mediums to create his drawings and paintings. He currently lives and works in Lyon, France.
His works will be on display from March 5th to April 15th, 2016, at Last Rites Gallery, New York. Follow him on Twitter.

Loving Vincent
This will be the world’s first feature-length painted animation, brought to you by the Oscar winning studio - BreakThru Films.
What is truly groundbreaking about “Loving Vincent” is that every frame of the film is an oil painting on canvas, using the very same technique in which Vincent himself painted. And what makes it a great story to experience is the intriguing, tragic, and inspiring story of Vincent Van Gogh himself. This is the first fully painted feature film in the world, directed by Polish painter and director Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman (Oscar winner for producing “Peter and the Wolf”).
