caregiver/handler headcanons & little/pet headcanons open!

as you may know i love guilty gear... but i also love a lot of other things! and i think i'm pretty good making up things, too. so i'm gonna do yet another thing and open up requests!

these requests can be of a character, specifically from guilty gear OR a kids show if you happen to think of one (personally, a small bonus), and what i'd probably headcanon about them in Situations like going to the park, imagining things with you, or just situations in general. just the regular stuff, though hard to explain for me specifically.

also i might be wrong about the characters but as long as we're being nice

more often than not, they might be a bit long. you don't have to sift through EVERYTHING.

storytime at awnie's house 📕🏠 ~ awnie is possibly the cutest lady i've ever seen !! she encapsulates a warm yet silly "mom" vibe and is incredible at doing voices for whatever book she's reading !!

“ ugly ” regression

☆ it’s not talked enough in regression about the hard big angry feelings. It’s not always relaxing and playing

[ 💧 🧸 ] tips for helping an insecure regressor ! !

sometimes i get super duper worried that my caregiver is uncomfortable with my regression , so i thought it’d be useful to caregivers / sitters / flips to have some tips on helping manage a self—conscious regressor !

— instead of simply reassuring them , treat them like a little / however they would like to be treated ! while reassurance can be helpful , in my opinion , actions are much more comforting

— in worse situations ( breakdowns / tantrums / etc. ) give them activities to do ! coloring pages are very nice for me , but if it’s something you can do in person together , i would recommend text—based tasks like having them tell you about their day , about their interests , anything really ! this might not seem like much , but being given little commands can help us feel very connected to being a regressor !

— similar to the previous one , give them a checklist ( this can work in person or over phone / text ) . this is a more general piece of advice , but it will help take their mind off of the worry and will help them feel accepted & taken care of !

— the most obvious one : talk about it with them . this is an easier thing to do when they are big ( not regressed ) , but having them explain , or try to explain , why they feel insecure can be very very helpful in your methods of reassuring them as well as taking some heaviness off of them ( talking does help ! )

[it should be noted that everyone experiences different symptoms/has different needs; i'll be focusing on sensory issues and chronic pain in this guide]

Be understanding !

It's important to remember for both caregivers and regressors that while something's may not make sense to us- that doesn't mean you can't be understanding.

You might not be able to feel the difference in fabric textures but your little/cg can.

Your legs might not hurt after walking short distances, but your little/cg's might.

These are real experiences your little/cg may deal with that you will have to be understanding of.

There may be times where your little/cg cannot play and need to rest, or times where games may need to be modified to ensure both of you have fun playing- reassure your little/cg that they are not burdens for needing accommodations !

Get creative !

"But Quinny, how can I make accommodations for my little/cg?!"

I'm glad you asked!! For neurodivergent littles/cgs, you may want to take extra time explaining the rules of a game or turning down the volume of shows/movies!

For chronically ill littles/cgs, low-movement activities such as arts 'n crafts or cozy pillow forts.

Be patient !

Flare-ups/Bad sensory days can lead to fussy littles.

These are both okay! It's important to listen to each other's needs and limits; healthy cg/little dynamics work together to find compromises.

Tips & Tricks !

Finding dolls/books/toys with disbaility inclusive storylines/characters/features can do wonders!

Keeping fun/cute water bottles or sippy cups nearby! [Bonus points if you have some liquid IV on hand -- or just a electrolyte drink in general]

Mobiles are great for kiddos who need lotsa bed-rest!!

being chronically ill/disabled/neurodivergent does not make you a bad regressor/caregiver <3

vaguely serious post but i really think we should discuss internet safety regarding the agere community because the amount of people (ive noticed this almost exclusively with older kids/young teens which is Really nervewracking) who publicly post about searching for a cg or taking cg 'applications' reeeeeally worries me !! please make sure u completely trust the people u are vulnerable with !!!
