Have a cold (courtesy of the anxiety episode I had -- apparently there is a name for when you get sick immediately after a period of high anxiety, the Let-Down Effect, and it happens because of a combination of stress making your immune system overtax itself to fight off a perceived illness, only to then be weaker afterwards. It happens to me a lot), so it may be time to break out my Casserole For When I Have A Cold.

It's basically chicken, leeks, garlic, potatoes, chicken stock, mustard, honey, a little bit of horseradish, ginger, paprika, pepper, chilli powder, and maybe some stilton sprinkled on the top if you're feeling fancy. Or put another way: I don't have a blender, so it's the chicken soup you'd take when you have a cold, just without being blended.

Also, er, I'm just super hungry right now, so this may be influencing my desire to make it.

Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine. No one with these "lycanthropy bad" takes ever wants to discuss the legitimate positives that come with this "curse" lmao.

lmao my wife literally saved my life when she turned me but i guess she should be muzzled huh? we run through the woods hunting deer together and can each haul in groceries in one trip now, but nooo she's obviously a danger to society because she cares enough about me to help me when insurance wouldn't cover my medicine

Ugh, was having a great time mocking my recently imprisoned rival when I noticed the camera positioning makes it so that I appear behind the bars, thus framing me as trapped in a metaphorical prison of the narrative, now my whole day is ruined. Fuck.

Had a dream that there was a new Pokemon that was ghost type and it was like. Half a greyhound. It was a spectral dog that was known as one of the fastest Pokemon. And yet it only had it front legs. There were wispy floating stubs on its back half which sort of implied there COULD be legs, but they never reached even close to the ground. It stood on its front legs as if the back legs were still there.

I don’t know what this Pokemon’s name was but its appeared in many of my dreams so either they made it real and I forgot or I’m being haunted by a Fakemon.

While it's obviously presented in a really silly way in Go Rush, because light, silly, and comedic is the tone Go Rush goes for 99% of the time, the concept behind the Darkmen is actually a really cool sci-fi concept.

Dark matter hypothetically makes up a significant chunk of our universe -- 85% of the mass of the universe -- but it is impossible right now for us to directly observe or really understand, and we can only infer its existence based on its gravitational effects. The idea of a civilisation or civilisations plural that live within dark matter, who we're unaware of for the aforementioned reason and who are equally unaware of us because baryonic matter is just as inscrutable and impossible to observe for them as dark matter is for us, is legitimately great.

I can't begrudge Go Rush for taking a silly tone with it, that's just its whole deal, it's aimed at really young children, and after 100+ episodes I don't think anyone can be surprised or annoyed about that (to say nothing of the fact that presenting it more seriously would arguably be more silly in this context, since this is a Yu-Gi-Oh show and thus is required to solve all problems with card games, which would dramatically undercut any attempt to make them more eldritch and threatening), but I'd love to see someone do a more serious take on the idea, whether as hard sci-fi or as soft sci-fi with a heavy lovecraftian bent to it.
