Hello! My name is Melissa, and this is my weight loss/fitspiration blog! I have been overweight/obese for most of my life. I would like to transition to a vegan lifestyle and become the fittest, most confident me I can be! I've never been comfortable in my own skin, and part of this stems from having uneven fat distribution that runs in my family. Much of the fat accumulates on my belly and this makes me very disproportional. Stats: Age: 20, Height: 5"2 (157 cm), SW 199lbs (90kg) CW: 195lbs (88kg) and my first goal weight is 150lbs (68kg). Please feel free to message me about anything and everything, and good luck to you and whatever journey you may be on 👍

(I apologize for the picture quality, but I’m sure the differences can be easily seen regardless.)
Height: 5'7"
Left (June 2014): ~193 lbs (US size 16 l XL)
Right (August 2015): 163 lbs (US size 10/12 l M/L)
My weight loss journey has been a long one. I’ve been actively trying to lose weight since June 2011, right after my first year of college. I had ballooned up 40 pounds in just one year. My highest weight ever was 196 lbs. I had managed to go down to 170 lbs by that following winter. However I lost my way and gained all that weight back. The second time I lost weight was during my third year of college, and the lowest I had gotten to was 176 lbs. Again, unfortunately, I gained my weight back and looked how I did in the left photo above.
After I graduated from college, I tried losing weight once more. It didn’t take me until this past February to turn my life around. I did the Shred Diet for 6 weeks and had lost 15 pounds. I began going to the gym more, and working out at home. Over the span of six months I had managed to lose 30 pounds, and I’m the fittest I have ever been in my life. Even though I’m still 10 pounds heavier than in high school, I look smaller and better than I did back then. I am toned and fit after 4 years of trying and failing. The thing is to never give up, no matter how tough and hard the journey is. One day you can look back and say “wow, that was me?” and realize that all that hard work paid off.
