Dreams are a whole another realm of its own. Even you who seek to grasp the unknown, can only attempt to hold it like flowing water.

We are the first step into an unknown land for your like. And with all new frontiers, come new obstacles.

We once had a truly exceptional dreamer. A once-in-a-lifetime saint, one who mostly came to the troubled who sought refuge in our still land. He would provide them with a much needed presence. Sometimes, he gave much needed advice instead.

Did you know? Our visitations used to have a much larger effect on your like than before. You could recall them with perfect clarity, and usually, you learned something from each encounter.

Unfortunately, they are now just unintelligible, mindless signals in your eyes. I'll tell you why that is.

We once had an encounter with those beyond the stars.

Intelligent as we were, we were still no match for such a vast, cold emptiness. Their forms grossly compensated to handle the matter, and mindless hysterical babbles came out of their heads as thick, black smoke.

But now, our land is now even more incoherent. Our conscious is muddied, and our once peaceful imaginations are now driven to hostile, unsettling scenarios, and we can sometimes still feel the traces of that emptiness embedded in our space.

We do not know whoever it is that scrubs these stains clean…

Ah, who am I kidding? Of course we do know. We just refuse to believe that's the sacrifice he had to make.

He still wanders these lands, now in search of someone else to help in his efforts. With how intricately connected you are and we are, our erasure would likewise mean your death. And his condition is indeed... worsening. It won't be long until he too, is assimilated into nothing.

So, please do listen to what he has to say if he ever comes around, alright?

Dr. Brighters assemble i have a Question

in regards to SCP-963 / character Bright, i've been wondering how far some people have gone with their rewrites / reinterpretations of him! do you just stick to base material and detach it from the creator, or do you differentiate some other aspects of the object / character?

mostly got spurred on to ask about this after trying to rewrite both 963 and Bright and ending up with a whole new SCP OC LMFAO

i guess i'm also curious about how far some rewrites have gone! my intended "rewrite" doesn't even have/need the amulet anymore, and i'm considering just making them very heavily inspired from 963, but not actually a rewrite LMFAOOAO
