"Well, it's that time of year again-- MetalSucks is running their album cover contest. They're a bit more open with submissions this time, so we're working on covering Augment by ERRA. They're defiently a huge influence on our music--" he laughed a bit after that and carried on, "what little original stuff we have. We're working on that and some other just for fun stuff to keep in touch with the fans." Jake knew that original content was crucial to growth-- but they were an exception, with about 1,500 followers across their media platforms. He paused before grabbing the thermos.

"It's cool if I get some coffee, right?" He chuckled nervously as he asked.

Jake relaxed a bit in his seat.

“I’m fine, thank you for asking. And you?” Jake had some coffee in his thermos but decided to not sip at it, closing it and putting it by his chair.

“I’m very well, thank you,” Zoey said with a soft smile. “So, do you want to tell me what you, and your band have been up to musically lately?” she couldn’t deny the fact she was out of her comfort zone.

“It’s going well! WE actually finished up bringing about an old friend of ours as a lead bassist of sorts. She’s super good, and I think you’d get along with her.”

Jake sighed happily, his hand instinctively going to play with her hair. It felt natural, so he went with it. He hummed along to the synthesizer into theme.

“Aaah, it’s up to you.” Jake said that a bit softly. He is really, really not used to this.

“How are you?” He asked her that after a brief pause.

“Then I think it would be best to conduct the interview right here,” Zoey took a sip of her vanilla cappuccino before looking back at the male. “I’m quite well, thank you for asking.” she hadn’t expected him to be so kind to her. “How are you today?”

Natalie shook her head and leaned back against the counter, “No no…I’m happy with your signature dishes and that shrimp alfredo looks delicious I can’t wait to eat.” She smelled the food and sighed. “I’ll take some water and do you want me to mix you a drink or something, honey?” She asked without thinking. She called him honey out of habit but she was glad he didn’t seem too upset maybe he liked it?

“Hi– you still wamna do the interview, right?” A little chuckle escaped his lips– to him it almost felt scripted. The room was empty…

“Are we doing the thing here?” The guitarist asked that curiously.

“Yes, of course,” Zoey quickly replied with a smile. she knew all too well that this wasn’t the most traditional place to do an interview, it was anything but. “We can go somewhere if you’d like,” her shoulders shrugged. “Whatever you’d prefer.”

"The black Crock-Pot is a pot roast seasoned with rosemary, thyme and a bit of garlic. The red one I wanna say is a roast with cajun seassoning." Jake yelled back, smiling a bit. Brown eyes glared at the ceiling as he finished his plate, already tired.

As he walked down the sidewalk, Jake… kind of dreaded this. He didn’t dislike it, but talking to people just wasn’t his thing. The other bandmates were busy; from Eric’s father coming from Manchester to visit to Nicole having to babysit, Jake was the most viable candidate for this interview. A soft smile formed as he left the cold city exterior to the warm, almost suspiciously inviting interior of the descibed building to go to– he saw who he was meeting in an instant.
