something that legitimately changed my perspective forever was that text, i can't remember where i read it, where the author described growing up in a small town with no library and only a tiny book store that sold bibles, before the internet was even on the horizon, and how during an exam at school they were given a poem to analyse but instead of writing down the exercises they spent the time memorising it because they thought it was a great work of art they would never get to see again.

“For example, not so long ago, the media picked up on a heartwarming story about an autistic hiker who set off for a long trip and got lost in the Arizona desert for almost a month, and had just been found, thank God, saved after an extensive search. The guy was actually a fairly experienced hiker. He bit off more than he could chew. After three weeks in the desert, they found him next to the river, thank God alive. This was a good story, and glad the guy was OK, so on and such forth. But something caught my eye in the news coverage of this story. One of the sheriff’s deputies who had found the man said it was very fortunate that he, the deputy, had attended an autism awareness training for law enforcement, because there he had learned that autistic people were drawn towards water. And without that crucial piece of knowledge, they would have had no idea to look for this guy who, let’s remember, had been lost in the desert for three weeks. By the river. The only body of water in the area. Having read this story, I have a very important question to direct to all the nonautistic people in the audience tonight. Maybe you can take a moment and educate me about your kind. What do you all look for when you’re lost in the desert? Beer? Fresca? Socially appropriate activities? Eyes to make contact with? Social reciprocity. Social reciprocity. That’s my Neurotypical voice. I hope none of you were too offended.”

I give it three months tops before a data breach leads to a public figure in the UK being outed for visiting niche porn sites because they uploaded their ID in order to access it and the site's data security is absolute dogshit

a helpful tutorial
I was taking with my friend about good omens and we were wondering how the hell aziraphale-as-crowley managed to get into that bath without getting his socks wet and so I drew this ‘helpful’ guide.
I like to imagine that all the demons had to just awkwardly stand around watching him clamber around getting into this bathtub… @neil-gaiman can you confirm?

Someone a few days ago literally asked me for directions to the street they were on. Like you're standing right on it buddy, where do you want me to point, down?

I hate to bring up the old meme of "I never thought leopards would eat MY face", but the number of people I've seen thinking Trump's bullshit wouldn't affect them is alarming.
Anyone can become disabled, mentally ill, or homeless at any time. Many people are just one bad month away from eviction, and what about the unlucky veterans who come home with missing limbs and PTSD?
Those leopards are closer than you think, and they will not hesitate to eat your face.
