Cryptid of the Day: Highgate Vampire

Description: On February 6th, 1970, David Farrant claimed to have seen a grey figure in Highgate cemetery in London. Sean Manchester also claimed it to be a vampire, sparking a rivalry between the two. Then on March 13th, a mob of people swarmed the cemetery trying to exorcise the vampire.

how do I just live with this? how do I just live on knowing that two men who claimed to be vampire hunters had a 40 year old feud involving at one point a “magician’s duel”, a comic strip one of them developed and sold merchandise for solely to mock the other, one of them getting *arrested*, and petty amazon book reviews? how do I just deal with the fact that a lot of their hatred for each other is available online because their rivalry lasted all the way up until one of them *died* in 2019? how do I just move on from the fact that the one who died had a YouTube channel that’s still up today where he pretends to shoot the people that criticize him?
