“It’s not the pain I’m afraid of; I know about the pain. What I’m afraid of is the end of this small, sweet dream.”

Today I realized I am alone in this world, Ive had this realization many times before, yet I choose to open my heart to people, to believe them when they say “I love you” “you have a home with us” I’ve heard that from so many different people throughout my life, yet Ive never had a home. The pain is always the same, I’m a bit numb to it but the depth of the wound doesn’t change and it doesn’t leave, it’s here everyday, 50% of days I want to kill myself, the other 50% I’d like someone to do it for me; I await death with open arms, I welcome it and hopes it comes sooner than later, I long for some permanence in my life, I long for a sense of belonging, for a home that only death can provide. Take me away, rip me to pieces, til I cease to exist. For thirteen years I’ve thought about death every single day, I don’t have thirteen more in me. I’ve been running on empty for years on end now, and nothing fills the void inside of me. The sweet relief of death is my only hope.
