The Great Attic Escape
#the great escape#pastel games#flash#another fave because i always liked attics#and there are bats that are called 'the grand masters' which is really cool#and you build another device to solve an issue that probably had simpler solutions#the sort of thing people think up only in escape games#at least the game overall is simple so it's funny instead of frustrating#also since i talked about bats those games sure feature plenty of animals. but really where would we be without them#still locked up in random rooms probably

The Great Basement Escape
#the great escape#pastel games#flash#basement is one of my faves because i jut really liked the art here#also there's a mouse and random things no one needs anymore like a half ruined bike#like in any good basement#so what else do you need really#also this time the device to get you out is more elaborate. pretty sure we're totally past the simple 'get past the keyhole' at this point.

The Great Living Room Escape
#the great escape#pastel games#flash#did not post yesterday for i had a migraine and still forget to fill the queue.#anyway. living room features one of the most memorable moments of the whole series for me#which is#SPOILERS! the snorkeling steroid-addled hamster fistfighting a fish.#SPOILERS! the snorkeling steroid-addled hamster fist-fighting a fish.#nothing else really happens in this game.#for all my love for it the series the games in it are mostly short especially the earlier ones#you can beat them in under 5 minutes#which was a bit frustrating back when loading a game would take up an hour

The Great Kitchen Escape
#pastel games#the great escape#flash#but first more escape games :)#the great escape was one of pastel games' most memorable and popular series. for a reason.#it's quirky and often runs on adventure game logic but also it's easy and has very fun graphics#in each of them you're locked in a room and have to make some device to get you out. sometimes it's just a key#but made in a way no human being would make a key.#kitchen isn't a fave but it's still Fun

I Saw Her Across The World
#i saw her standing there#flash#the finale!#despite the title you can choose pronouns for the zombies here. and also their colors.#it's more of the same really. but this time they're traveling everywhere.#the first one continues to be the most memorable for me because i guess it felt the most original?#and the simplest in idea and execution. yeah just a guy and a zombie.#while next ones feel like. quirky zombie love talk. those 'love is' pictures but as a zombie platformer.#in a way it also makes sense to me than people weren't interested in the more developed gameplay#because the game made waves especially among. well. people who usually didn't play games. but also it's still too simple#for people who are actually really into games.#i sound critical here but i don't really. dislike it. i just think the sequels weren't really necessary.#anyway lol 'simple game about love adored by average site goers' reminds me of color my world so maybe i should do it next

I Saw Her Too, With Lasers
#i saw her standing there#flash#part 2 of the zombie love story.#this time it's from the perspective of a scientist watching the habits of zombies#is there any hope for humanity? does there need to be?#it was much less popular than the original. i guess it doesn't have the simplicity.

I Saw Her Standing There
#i saw her standing there#flash#and then she was a zombie.#a touching love story about a guy and his zombie girlfriend told through a basic platformer :)#you may see she is in a cage. he locked her so she wouldn't kill him. such are the trials of being in love with a zombie.#it was recommended a lot back in the day. people saw it as more. i dunno. artsy? thoughtful?#it's nothing deep but it is cute in a way. especially the end.

Beauty Sort Out Game
#flash#have a random cleaning game#made with the least possible effort#(okay least effort is pasting in badly cropped photos)#the girl reminds me of tohru from fruits basket in fancier clothes lol#exactly the sort of game she would be likely to appear in

Meet In
#eyezmaze#flash#haha almost like metin#anyway as you can see you follow a stickman family where every member is in a different spot of the same labyrinth#so they gotta cooperate to get out#it's really funny how each moves at a different speed so when you for example see the dad pass in the baby's view#it seems like he's running full speed when he's just walking

The Perfect Husband
#flash#seems like it's actually an e-card? lol#makes sense since it's so short. just a few very rapid micro-games about doing domestic chores as a monkey husband#at the (portrayed above) you get judged by your monkey wife#very boomer humor i guess.#i played it on some online games site back when and i actually remember it being decently popular? it was on the main site for a while#probably because it's simple and recognizable but then again the rules behind what got on main were a mystery.#i saw it in flashpoint's random games section. i completely forgot it existed before that.#but seeing it got me so sentimental i found that game site on web archive and yes... there it was... 271 comments...

Droppy
#pencilkids#flash#one of the games that were a collection of scenes united by one character you had to help out that pencilkids did#usually with a longer final scene and score determined by clicks#sometimes it was a timer but i remember the clicks better.#droppy is alright though his design didn't grab me#better than those monkeys that later took over pencilkids completely though.#i actually don't remember this game well i probably i played it those years ago but it didn't stay with me

Utopian Mining
#flash#a great game! one of the more memorable ones for me which i guess is a bit weird for a simple premise like this#you're a mining robot. you dig for ore. that's it.#while digging you use up battery and going too deep may damage you so you gotta take care of it with money you get for ore#you get updates to go deeper and dig for longer#and also you fulfill missions like 'get more gold'#it's weirdly gripping. but mostly at the beginning.#as you get the updates it all becomes too easy and the progress moves too fast#and the endgame is a letdown... 'a winner is you!'-kind of screen and then you get thrown back to the game to. dig for infinity i guess#i still love it
