So I have a fool proof plan here folks. Kind of. I am going to set up the gazelle here, and start my work out. While I am working out I am going to binge watch Young Justice on Netflix, in hopes to help get it friggin’ renewed [ info here ], and in hopes to get my frIGGIN’ MUSE BACK. Then hopefully get some juices flowing to get those icons out to those that I owe. After forever and a fucKING DAY I AM SO SORRY PEOPLE. I will get this shit blog back up and running I swEAR IT.

      “Really, messy. I think describing it as chicken scratch would be a compliment. When I am in the field I do my best to make it as legible as possible, but more times than not I tend to get a head of myself, and let’s just say that everyone in Central is grateful for computers.”

      “It was pretty awkward. I thought I was going to miss, she thought she was going to miss, and then wouldn’t you know – we both ended up clonking heads.” laughed the speedster. “Everyone’s first kiss is pretty awkward, so that brought me some comfort when I finally did get it right.”

So I know I haven’t been on in forever, and I wasn’t on much before hand, but I have some good news and bad news?

Good news – I no longer work for the person I worked for (she treated me like shit and was not looking for help and I wasn’t having it anymore) so I have all the free time in the world before I go back to school!

Bad news – It is coming up on the three year anniversary of my grandfather’s death so once again my muses have all been quiet.

HOWEVER. I shall be trying to get my muses, including allusive Barry, back here in the next couple of weeks. I apologize that it won’t be sooner it is just a big mental countdown for me. 

What do I mean? Well…. The twenty-first is the anniversary of my Uncle’s death. Ten days after that it is the anniversary of my grandfather’s death. Twelve days after that is my grandfather’s birthday. So it really is like a giant countdown and it is a very hard time of the year.

However I usually get out of my funk and my muses come back shortly after this time. So I greatly appreciate you all being so patient! I love you all! Feel free to send in asks in the mean time! Barry seems to want to cooperate for those at least.

I AM BAAAAAAAAAAACK! Kind of. I am sorry for the disappearance again folks. My schedule has been hectic the last three weeks since I had to take the girl I take after to an appointment three hours away one week, then the next week she had Monday off, and last week the nurse that does the day shift was not able to come in since her son was in the hospital, and this week she can’t come in because she is sick. So I have been working 6-8 (in the morning) and then 2-9 (in the afternoon) and have been tired as all hell. So I haven’t been able to get on. HOWEVER, there is another nurse that is supposed to come in, just have to wait for the nurse that I am covering to get better to train her, then things should go back to the normal night shift! So we just have to wait and hopefully next week all things will be settled. Anyway, I work 6-8 and 2-9:30 today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday I work just 6-8 in the morning then Saturday I work 8 am til midnight, same with Sunday. So I shall try and be on inbetween shifts and on Friday. I am so sorry for the lack of activity! I promise to make it up to you all! Thank you for your patience! I love you guys!

Welp so I didn’t mean to go MIA for a month, sorry about that folks. Anyway there is a reason as to why -- my schedule has changed. Why? The other aid that I worked with, that worked during the day, quit. So I have been all over the place during the day and covering when nurses can’t show. I am so so sorry for that everyone. So my schedule has been changed to me being there during the day, and a lot of split shifts. Due to that I have been busy, and with the holidays it has been a little more than hectic. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday, and will have a safe New Years. I promise to get this blog back into the swing of things (I know I have said this before but honest I mean it!) I love you all, thank you so so so much for your patience! <3

I am sorry I disappeared there for a bit. This past week the girl I watch was on Thanksgiving break, and things went to shit. By this I mean my schedule got all wonky and I have been working, and getting tired, and now I have jury selection tomorrow. Please for the love of God do not choose me. Anyway, I am sorry for that folks. Things should be going back to normal here soon. I love you all and thank you for your patience!

The smile is still on her face as she stands quiet and patient, while her hands are tense and fingers busy fiddling with her key chain in attempt to calm her nerves. As it has been awhile since she has actually interacted in a situation that isn’t entirely work related, with someone who works nearly in the same field as her. 

“I’d say so.” Nora quips, “After you.”

     Giving a curt nod, Barry began to walk, looking over his shoulder to make sure that Nora was following. “Are you a native to Central, moved in, or just come when work brings you?” asked the speedster, giving a curious glance in the female’s direction. Simple but effective way to get a conversation starting, and see where it can go from there. Was it a bit overused? Perhaps but it was his best bet as of this moment.

Nora can only nod in response to Barry’s comment about not being able to do much on an empty stomach, and lets a small laugh sneak past her lips at the irony of looking over a pathologist report with a stomach full of food, at the thought of how that statement would sound to one not in their line of work. Her mood is lifted slightly, as this is the most interaction she has had since the last two days she has spent the better of alone — sifting through paperwork; looking down the lens of a microscope, making notes and dissecting. 

Always keeping herself, her mind, busy with her work, the dead. It’s cold and callused irony, distracting herself with others’ deceased loved ones, while not coping with her own loss. “So it seems. It is greatly appreciated.” She says, the comment honest, as she listens to him list off lunch options. 

“Cafes are wonderful, I think I’m in the mood for one.” 

     Hearing her comment about how his work was appreciated, Barry mused a small “thank you” in return. Though he knew his work was helping people, it was nice to hear that it was. “Alright, cafe it is. It will be a nice change of pace for me, it has been so busy around here lately, I have only been able to grab fast food.” Barry spoke, giving a small nod. “I think a little change is in order before I end up being the one in your reports.” joked the man as he gave a small smile. Brows raising slightly he pointed back into the room he was in before spotting this pathologist. “I’m going to put this away real quick. I’ll be right back.” he spoke as he turned into the room, walking towards the back where he had a pile of other cases scattered on the table.

     Setting the new folder off to the left, so he knew just exactly where it was when he was to return, the male turned around and made his way back to Nora. Giving a welcoming smile he gave a curt nod. “Alright, that is all taken care of.” he spoke, smile growing some. “Are you ready for some cafe food? I do believe three minutes have passed.” A smile turning into a sly grin, the hero looked at the other. It was refreshing to be around someone who was in the same field as him, but wasn’t someone he saw everyday. He loved his coworkers, don’t get him wrong, it was just nice to be with someone new.

She hums sympathetically, in agreement with Barry’s well wishes for the victim’s family and friends. “Yes, of course. I’ve spent quite some time on this investigation, and I only hope the answers I have been able to provide gives way to some closure.” 

Tired facial features perk when he says he is a fan of her reports. The natural pout of her lips turn upward at the sides; her smirk is that from being flattered and amused at the compliment. “Thank you, Mr. Allen. I’m flattered to know you consider my work to be talent — you did look over that report awfully fast.” Eleanor muses, the playful smirk on her face seeping through to her words now. “It is nice to finally put a face to your name, too. It is popular on paper.“ she notes, recalling case files where it is mentioned, colleagues who’ve uttered it, and she listens, and upon hearing his invite for lunch, retracts her hand from her pocket and brings her wrist to eye level, checking the time, carefully maneuvering the placement of her watch as to not flash him the two red horizontal lines that are still slightly fresh and scabbing.

“My shift ends in three minutes, what did you have in mind?”

     “Oh, I plan to look over your report fully after lunch. Can’t do much on an empty stomach, I’m afraid.” spoke Barry as he gave a laugh. Granted being a speedster meant that he had to fill his empty stomach more times than most, he didn’t mind.  Listening to the woman as she spoke, hearing that it was nice for her to put a face to a name too, the male could help but give a smile. “Well I try my best to help out on as many cases as I can.” Even so, it was nice to be recognized by someone whom Barry himself respected as a worker.

     Watching Nora check her watch, Barry patiently awaited her answer to his proposal for lunch. He noticed the small little movement of the watch, but didn’t think too much into it. Hearing her agree, the blond couldn’t help but let his smile grow. “I was thinking Big Belly Burger. They are quick and the food is always good. However, if you are in the mood for somewhat nutritious food, there is a small cafe that I love to go to.” Barry added as he gave a small laugh. Big Belly Burger may be good but it wasn’t exactly healthy.
